Our goal in life must be to love God, because God is love, and we are created for love. Furthermore, we can find true peace and joy only when we love God; because then we become what we are created to be. Since God is love, to love God is to have a deep desire and commitment to express His love in our life; and to do nothing that is displeasing to Him. Jesus showed us that God is unconditional love. This love not only forgives our sins but became one of us, showed us forgiveness and compassion and sacrificed His own life for those betrayed Him, were unfaithful to Him and killed Him. He showed us that to be good is not to just to fulfil one's obligation, but to go all out to help others.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It may seem impossible to love one another as God has loved us. But. God gives us His sacrificial body and blood as real food. Therefore when we faithfully receive it, by God's grace, we can have His sacrificial life and love one another as He has loved us. To faithfully receive this food is to sincerely desire to accept His sacrificial life. We may be afraid to accept His sacrificial life; however, if we have the slightest desire to accept it, God will give us the strength to accept it. We must therefore pray for this desire with a sincere heart knowing that our hope and joy comes only from our faith in the God revealed to us in the person of Jesus.
