Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Psalms 118:8
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
Isaiah 12:2
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”
Romans 15:13
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Psalms 118:6
“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

Trust the Lord

There's always been pestilence and with this new virus all we can do is hope and pray it will not touch us. Last report I saw there has been 9 people here in the US that have died from it so far.

Best data so far is about a 3% mortality rate (mostly among those over the age of 60 and those with another condition).
Viruses TYPICALLY spread on about a 200 day cycle from the first reported case in a country to the peak and decline with about a 2 month period of maximum growth in reported cases.
A vaccine is projected to be more than a year away, but effective drug treatments should be identified much sooner.

Placing the risk into perspective, the mortality rate for a young, healthy person from a typical “Flu” is 0.1% and the mortality rate for a young, healthy person from a THIS “Flu” is 0.3%.

Is it a bad flu? YES.
Is it the end of the world? NO.

Not the end of the world.
In a developed nation like the US large numbers of people are vaccinated against the likely strains of flu. That has to obviously effect the numbers infected.
With no vaccines for this one yet I would think it could spread faster.
Though if more people are a bit frightened of it and take steps like lots of hand washing, avoiding crowds a bit, etc that would help.

What we do is build a big wall to prevent the spread of pest and disease.....oh and terrorists, well terrorists are a pest just a human one so same thing, and illegal drugs and illegal weapons, oh and deadly viruses. I have said many times on this forum about bio security as one reason why everyone must enter the country legally. We don't want viruses to spread, it's for everyones safety. Once you pass security your free.

Yep, it isn't the end of the world. Read Matthew 24.

I don’t know what kind of scrutiny people get who fly in here every day. Or Americans returning from overseas trips. Or people driving in from Canada and Mexico daily.

People, people, listen up, humans will overcome the Coronavirus when our own antibodies develop an inhouse virus killer. Once humans develop this antibody it will be passed on to our children and from then on, this virus will reside in our history books, not our morning news outlets. In the meantime, many will carry on, some we will lose;.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., such is life.

if that was the case, then how did the Spanish flu get a hold of me?it was a bad one and others got hospitalized from it. small pox, and also leprosy are still around as is tb, the yellow fever and scarlet fever and others. we didn't kill of the diseases we built immunity in some cases but they can come back. see the rise of mmr. its in part of lack of vaccinations and also others who had it coming to America and not getting treatment.

Israel reports that they have a vaccine for coronavirus ready to go.

But I have chosen Jerusalem, that My Name might be there; and have chosen David to be over My people Israel. 2 Chronicles 6:6

Once a liar always a liar
The US has a vaccine undergoing human trials in Washington State right now, so WE have a vaccine for coronavirus, too. The issue is first proving it is effective against all strains, then determining if there are any dangerous side effects, and lastly scaling it up for mass production. There is no point in jumping to step 3 if it does not pass step 1 and step 2, and step 3 takes lots of both time and money.

I would be VERY surprised if Germany did not have a vaccine in testing as well.

There is an innoculation....but it requires getting the flu about 7 times in one year.

In the meantime...
I'm not going to worry too much about it.
I'm going to do as they ask and self isolate...not go out except for work and groceries.
I'm going to be sad about church services...I miss my friends. Texting and all that just doesn't cut it.
One of my friends just lost his mother (not to Corona). I want to see him and give him comfort. But I can't...and that hurts.

What am I to do with this plague?
Calm the nervous, be a voice of strength and courage, give aide and comfort where I can.

Not much else to do.

Oh yeah...and have a hallelujah party when it's over.

Trust in the Lord, but trusting in the Lord means to do what He says. It doesn't just mean not to worry, feel good about it all. It means have your quiet time, pray what He would have you do, and if it means wait, then wait. If it means act, then act.

Maybe things changed after the restrictions went into effect at midnight on Friday but my neighbor and his wife were in Sweden and Denmark last week and returned on Friday afternoon. They were not required to take any test or health exam nor were they quarantined upon their return. It was recommended to them that they should self quarantine for two weeks to be sure they do not have symptoms.
