Hello.
I am interested in 2012, notably - the Mayan prophecy about the end of the world 12.21.2012. Many people talk about it now, besides, the movie comes out soon. I'm interested to read something about it. Disclosing this theme.
Advise me some articles please.

Thank you

Well you could start with the Bible, which is really all you need to know about this kind of thing. And the Bible says that the day of the Lord will come like a theif in the night when no-one suspects.

So IMO, if people are thinking 2012, then I would say that that's when He's definately not going to come back, as people expect it!

But seriously, no-one is ever going to guess when the Father will come back, so what's the point in even trying?

There is an expected galactic alignment at that time. What that could do to our planet is unknown. Best think on other things for the next two years and let "future you" worry about it. I'm letting "future me" do the same. :yes

Good point, I can't agree more! Instead of dwelling on 'end of the world' scenarios and trying to predict when Jesus will return, we should instead continue to strengthen our faith and improve our relationship with God. Therefore, when the time comes, we'll be ready.

There's no prophecy that says the world will end on that date, but that there will be a transformation or a big event (if I remember correctly).

In any case, this is a civilisation that believed that the world would be destroyed by gods if there was no human sacrifice, and there has been so human sacrifice to these gods since the fall of the Mayan civilisation, and earth is still here. Ergo, their prophecy is incorrect.

I want to laugh when people come to a Christian site to talk about what the mayans or nostradamus or some other non Biblical source has to say about the future.

Ecc 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Isa 46:5 To whom will you compare Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be alike?
Isa 46:6 They pour gold out of the bag, and weigh silver out of the measuring rod, and hire a goldsmith; and he makes it a god; they fall down, yea, they bow down.
Isa 46:7 They carry it on the shoulder, they carry it and set it in its place, and it stands; it shall not move from its place. Yes, one shall cry to it, yet it cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Isa 46:8 Remember this, and be a man; return it on your heart, O sinners.
Isa 46:9 Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me,
Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure;
