Fly again! I never felt closer to God and I never felt more alive than when I had the sticks and the pedals controlling that whirling 44-foot mass of blades over my head.

Mostly what I am doing now.

The line "lead me not into temptation" in the Lord's Prayer is about not having so much that you forget from Whom all blessings flow.

I'm a strange person in that I've changed careers several times... Not just low skill jobs but educated technical careers.

And I thank the Lord for that often....
And I always want more...and it's good to want more...kinda. But godliness with contentment is great gain.

There are literally thousands of online courses that have no fees. All it takes is self discipline to get through them.

But right at the moment I'd like to be in my bathrobe and slippers eating bacon and drinking coffee and snuggled up to my wife on the couch. But...

I've set exactly one electrical service panel in my time. It passed. (Then they stopped letting us hvac guys do electric).

I'm sorta multi-trade, though they're all related in my mind. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, gas lines.

It's great to be able to overlap into different trades.

There's a reason... It's all about permits and licenses. Your contractor won't have either. You may have the ones for Tin Knockers but electrical are completely different. Usually you can "borrow one" by means of a fee and do the work yourself (if someone knows how)...but that's getting scarce these days.
And the know-how is getting really rare these days. It's almost a sin what I make these days. But then again there isn't anyone else who knows much to even hire to do what I can do. So I just take the money and keep working. I have apprentices and grunt labor do the heavy lifting while I do the technical aspects.

Pulling wire just needs a strong back and a weak mind. But knowing what to pull and where to connect what you pulled... Well that requires a guy like me. I'm easy but not cheap. Hee hee hee.

The admin of our Company page and a couple of other pilots from my unit had to calm that pilot down and I fear he went home and took his Chopper with him because he doesn't post any more.

I can still do it, the homeowner can pull all of the permits except the mechanical permit (because of the Venting) so I do OK

Having a friend to pull ones permits is called prostituting the license and is frowned upon. However, it happens and I'm no stranger to it myself. It's money.

I should have gone to school for wildlife biology and management, rather than accounting. Outdoors vs indoors.
