This thread is devoted to Thanksgiving feasts! And, while we are sharing, let's remember to Whom all thanks for His giving to us is due and share what we give thanks to Him for. :pray

So, the Millers, including Steve, Viola, Thomas, Grandma Joyce, Grandpa John, Uncle David and Grandma Georgie will be feasting on:
Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Sweet Potato casserole
Green Bean casserole (yep the one with the French Fried Onions)
Mixed Veggie Salad
Various Pickles, Onions,and Olives
Sliced fresh mushrooms, bell peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes
Crackers with Wild Plum/Jalapeno Jelly and Cream Cheese

For dessert:
Pumpkin Pie (of course)
Apple Pie
Banana Cream Pie

This year we are most thankful for God's continued provision during these hard economic times, continued good health, our good friends, and our new church! We also remember Dad and Bruce and are thankful for the faith they had and our hope to be reunited with them in resurrection!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

You all just made me realize I forgot the sweet potatoes! (I hope my mom can forgive me. :) ) I almost forgot my dad's waldorf jello salad, but he was kind enough to run out to the store late tonight to make sure I had the ingredients. :lol I wonder if he would run out in the morning for the sweet potatoes. :chin

Turkey
mashed potatoes
dressing/stuffing
gravy
green beans
corn
croissants
waldorf jello salad
cranberry sauce
pumpkin pie
cherry pie

This is the first year we will be having cherry pie. Normally we must have pecan pie, but... well..... we also are not baking out own pies this year and my mom hates store bought pecan. :lol Things are just too crazy-busy this year. :shame

Hey, I forgot to put cranberry sauce on my list. Can't have Thanksgiving dinner without cranberry sauce.

Which brings us to a side track issue: So what's your favorite style of cranberry: the sauce or the canned type that comes out like thick jello that you slice? I like sauce, the kids love the sliced stuff, so I serve both.

Whew, one apple pie now in the oven, the pumpkin is cooked and just needs to be made into pie. However, I seem to have misplaced my pie recipe so, Chef Google to the rescue!

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for me. The family I was planning on spending Thanksgiving with all got sick.:sad

I guess I am thankful that I didn't catch their sickness.
