...how do we know? I mean, I was saved by the Pentecostals. They're big on Spiritual Warfare, which I think is a valid concept. At the same time, I think they might give the devil and his minions too much credit. Or I could be wrong.

Anyway, how do we know when a trial is God sent? Is everything God-filtered, including the Rough Stuff?

I think that they do give Satan and his demons too much credit. You are right. When a trial is sent I pray, pray and pray again.

what did jesus and his disciples do, and the apostles etc later ? they went about and EVERYWHERE they went proclaiming the good news, they healed the sick AND they set people free from the demons. everywhere. it is part of the good news.

because of demons, there's a zillion arguments instead of agreement among people who all call themselves 'christian' .
there's hundreds of doctrines from the time of Paul's writings or shortly thereafter that are called 'doctrines of demons' or other false doctrines called by other names but generously endowed by demonic resources or people under their control.

the sons of sceva had no power over the demons, even though they tried to cast them out "in the Name of Yeshua Who Paul preaches",
and
instead the demons overpowered the sons opf sceva and they ran away naked.

demonic lodges are in every state of the untied states, and most likely in every country. the members include sheriffs, governors, congressmen, bankers, lawyers and innumerable other people who no one ever suspects.

but their power in themselves is all deceptive, and they were all entirely defeated by Yeshua at the crucifixion.

James 1:2-4
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
2 Regard it all as joy, my brothers, when you face various kinds of temptations; 3 for you know that the testing of your trust produces perseverance. 4 But let perseverance do its complete work; so that you may be complete and whole, lacking in nothing.
.....
12 How blessed is the man who perseveres through temptation! For after he has passed the test, he will receive as his crown the Life which God has promised to those who love him. 13 No one being tempted should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and God himself tempts no one. 14 Rather, each person is being tempted whenever he is being dragged off and enticed by the bait of his own desire. 15 Then, having conceived, the desire gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death. 16 Don’t delude yourselves, my dear brothers.

.... and receive meekly the Word implanted in you that can save your lives. 22 Don’t deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it! 23 For whoever hears the Word but doesn’t do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror, 24 who looks at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But if a person looks closely into the perfect Torah, which gives freedom, and continues, becoming not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work it requires, then he will be blessed in what he does..

The Bible says that the demons tremble at the sound of God's Name.

but worldly people don't scare them at all. most people on earth don't even realize they're tricked by them (and slaves of sin).

contrast with the power disciples have when given:
Luke 9 NKJV;NIV - Sending Out the Twelve - Then He called ...
Sending Out the Twelve. 9 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

I don't know if they are focusing on the worldly people because they already have them.It is the ones who are spreading the Word of God that they are focusing on.They just do not like it when you get out your Bible.

demons love it when they can trip up people with simple traps like religion, gambling, alcohol, pornography, stocks and bonds, financials, short skirts, exposed collar bones and ankles, (unmentionable women), (unmentionable men), lawyers, sex, divorce, doctors, schools, professionals, news reports, politics(almost any), trees, mice, statues, scents, beads, drugs(including medicinal), and more than anything - money.

even when most people get out their bibles, they have no defense against the demons "for lack of knowledge, My people perish".

Exactly. The Angels study us and they know us but so does Satan and the demons. They know our weaknesses. They know how to get to us.

The scripture says, "Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the LORD tested Joseph's character. Psalm 105:19 NLT"

All disciples who follow Jesus Christ character will be tested prior to the LORD fulfilling the dreams the LORD has given us. God will test our faith with perfected words He has spoken over us. He test our character with THE LITERAL WORD (the bible).

the tests and the trials from Yhwh are in no way temptations to do evil or to sin.
they are for the perfecting of the saints, his people, and they are all with an expectation of PASSING.

Yes,God does test us.But we should never test God.He tests us to see if our faith is real.Yes,God already knows that our faith is real but He is proving to us that our faith is real, and that no trial or test will overcome that faith.

I have thought of trials as something for my good I had nothing to do with, whereas when chastisement comes I usually know the folly of my transgressions, but if you’ll notice both produce reward.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

1 Pet 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

That was one thing i had been looking into lately. I think the apostles give a good example, they just didnt stop spreading the Kingdom and went out and said 'BE HEALED', not, 'Please Lord if its your will heal or help this person' in some despirate prayer. No luke warm. They could fully move mountains with no doubt in there heart and when attacked or accused they just handled the sandle. Nothing could stop them until they got home.

I mean, do people these days think they have less power in Yeshua?. Is it lack of faith?. Luke warm? Why do people pray for themselves or others?. I can understand prayer for the unsaved now, but thats about it.

Jas 5:13-16 KJV Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. (14) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

People today(who don't match the description in Scripture of believers) think they have no power in Yeshua. The power left the 'church' when the 'church' became a building, and other such devastating changes before 400a.d..
Yes, it is a lack of faith, lack of trust, and not giving up sin.
Luke warm or powerless, no power of life nor sowing seed nor watering seed.
Why do people pray ? They want something I guess. Ask them and ask them about other indicators in God's Word of who is holy and who is not, who has power over demons and who doesn't, and be prepared to be shocked what they say.

We know from the bible that our lord does not want us to put a stumbling block before another, so i'm guessing god doesn't either.
