Meanwhile, as televangelists have been often universally viewed with suspicion since the highly publicised fall of Jim Baker - as well as the recent Ted Haggard, I'll just say that I've often watched 2/3 hours of Christian TV a day & been greatly blest

First of all Jimmy is just a man' and sometimes men of God fall. If he repents' we are to forgive him. If God forgives him' then what's our problem ? Same with Jim Baker' it hurt me to my heart to see Jim Baker in trouble like that. But he has repented and turned his life back around' with the help of the Lord. People love to see men of God fall' and then they kick them when they are down. These people of God are human' and sometimes some of them fall. Jessie Jackson did the same thing. But the black church forgave him. They don't even mention it among them. Why this is' I don't know' and I am a person of color. But they embraced him. I embraced Jim Baker when he fell. No man is better than the other one. Who do people think that they are to kick people when they are down. Don't you know that you can murder people' with your words ? Well you can, and the Bible does talk about that' I just forgot where.

As far as I am concerned it is a big IF in regards to if he "fell" or not. Jim Bakker was living by what he considered to be faith and he got to the point where he was putting up more building than he could afford to pay for.

I am still not convinced one way or the other if he is "guilty" or not.
