Repentance. Too many are being taught that repent means to be sorry but that is not accurate. It's much more.
I wonder how many criminals are sorry. They're sorry they got caught but not necessarily sorry for committing the crime. Judging by how we "Christians" behave, we don't know what it really means to be repentant.
Repentance is a complete change of heart and mind. Changing from embracing or accepting sin to a heart and mind that abhors, hates, loathes sin enough to strive with all our heart to avoid sin at all costs. Repentance is a change from one of rebellion against God to one of seeking Him and desiring to live, think, and act with righteousness.
