When was the law fulfilled?

When was the law fulfilled by Jesus? As soon as he came? At the Crucifixion?

The Israelites were required to sacrifice an umblemished lamb. Jesus became the sacrifice of that Lamb. Some say He was the Passover Lamb.
The Law was fulfilled when Jesus died and His blood was poured out.

Jesus was indeed in the Perfect Sacrifice that fulfilled Mosiac Law.

His Blood offers Salavtion for all who believe in Him as Messiah.

The right question is what law was fulfilled?

The problem is everyone just assumes which law Christ referred to.

There are many laws in the Bible incluing the law concerning tithing, lepers, unclean meat, sacrifices, property, manslaughter, theft, marriage, inheritance, et al.

So what must be determined is what aspect of the entire law was not fulfilled prior to Christ's death and why?

Which law could not accomplish what Messiah came to do?

Or put another way, what was the specific aspect of the law of God that had a requirement to be fulfilled and how is it related to sin and salvation?

Without understanding these concepts, the original question can't be correctly answered.

We read in Romans 3:19-21:
"Now we know that whatever the Law says it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the Law, since through the Law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from Law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it."

The Torah does indeed speak to those under the Torah, and because those under the Torah are sinful, just like those outside it, the whole world is held accountable to God. Nobody will be justified by the Torah because that is not its purpose; the function of the Torah was to bring a knowledge of sin. But now a way of becoming righteous apart from the Torah has been revealed, and the Torah and the Prophets in fact testify to this method.

I would posit that the work was completed when Jesus said that it is finished on the cross. His death made us able to be forgiven our sins. His resurrection fulfilled it. We have hope in his life and faith in his promises and that justifies us. So I would say the whole law was fulfilled. Regarding dietary laws, God has made things clean (spiritual meaning here too), moral laws now have a point of fulfillment. Do these, and the resurection is proof of the fulfillment.

Jesus fullfilled the MOSAIC law that requires an unblemished sacrifice as atonement for sin.

IT isn't necessarilly the "answer I want" but it is the correct one.

You go to "ignore" too,.... on general principles. :-?
