  • Psalms 76:1-2 In Judah is God known: His name is great in Israel. In Salem also is His tabernacle, And His dwelling place in Zion.

Those are very interesting verses. In those twenty-three words so much is said. First we see the separation of the house of Judah and the house of Israel. All are of the twelve tribes of Jacob/Israel but only the house of Judah are the Jews. The house of Judah are the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. The other ten tribes are the house of Israel (who have never have been or will be ....Jews) and the verse gives us a clue as to who they are today!

"In Judah is God known." Judah knows God and worships God but...Judah doesn't worship the Son. However, in Israel "His name is great." Who knows His name is great? Christians. :praying The house of Israel are today's Christians.

Then we see "In Salem also is His tabernacle." Salem means "Peace." The Smith's Bible Dictionary tells us..."It is agreed on all hands that Salem is here employed for Jerusalem," in Ps. 76:2 but....is it?

  • Hebrews 7:2-3 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all: first being by interpretation king of righteousness, and after that also king of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abiding a priest continually.

    Ephesians 2:13-14 But now in Christ Jesus we who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He IS OUR PEACE, Who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Salem/Peace is Jesus Christ. And, Jesus/Salem "also is His tabernacle." God lives, resides in Jesus.

  • John 10:30 I and My Father are one."

    John 14:9-10 Jesus saith unto him, "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, 'Shew us the Father'? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father That dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.

The Father and Son are One. God is the body of Christ, His tabernacle. Now for the final part of the Scripture....."His dwelling place in Zion."

  • 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

God "dwelleth in" us and "His dwelling place" is "in Zion." Spiritually, His children are Jerusalem and some are Zion. Together we are the body of Christ.
