But people need to understand there is nothing the Lord cannot do.

If we remember that God has total control of what happens to us, we won't be upset when bad things come along. Not a sparrow falls to the ground without His permission. What we might not think is for our good is allowed by God for a reason that works in our best interests. I believe it's called trust pure and simple.
Romans 8:28 said:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
