Symbolically, or in Biblical types....the Pharoah is Satan and Egypt is the world with it's carnal lusts. As the Pharaoh is Satan...who is his daughter?

  • Exodus 2:5-6 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."

Consider that she and her maids were washing in and walking beside the same river the Pharoah "charged all his people, saying, "Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river." His daughter washed in the river soaked in the blood of God's children! :o What does that river represent? Satan's deception, his poisoning of the living water of truth.

Moses was nourished by Pharaoh's daughter, as we are, by all she has to offer.....

  • Acts 7:21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

But, as we have, he left the world behind and followed God....

  • Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

But, that wasn't the end of Pharaoh's daughter. She never fades, never passes away and is with us until the end....

  • 1 Kings 3:1 And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.

    1 Kings 7:8 And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.

    9:24 But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

She entered her own house on the grounds of the Temple! And, she is there today. Wherever false doctrine, traditions of men, deception is preached...she is there.

  • Mark 13:1 And as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples saith unto Him, "Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!" And Jesus answering said unto him, "Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

The physical temple of that time was destroyed and replaced by the true spiritual Temple...however, all the great buildings, including the spiritual "house of Pharaoh's daughter" will be "thrown down."

WW,

At Mt. Sinai the 12 tribes turned back to Egypt in their hearts. God gave them up to worship the host of heaven.

The Egyptians were very religious through a priestcraft process. God gave them the religion that they desired and even angels beaten out of gold. This process is the mother of bondage. Pharoah's daughter is the mother of bondage, symbolically.

Hi WW :wave

Very interesting post!

1Ch 4:18
And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these [are] the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.

Hebrew:

Bithiah = "daughter of Jehovah
Which derives from two root words:

bath = daughter, young women, women

Yahh = Jah (Jehovah in the shortened form)

*The word 'bath' also derives from two root words:

banah = to build, rebuild, establish, cause to continue

ben = son, grandson, child, member of a group

Mered = "rebellion"

So, we have in this union a 'daughter of Jehovah' married to "rebellion"

Many blessings and much love'
I have missed you!
