Where is the Power

Is the Body of Christ Deficient of Power

Where is the power that is supposed to accompany the message of the Good News? Good works worked hand and hand with the Gospel. Who has bewitched us as believers?
The Devil has destroyed the power and distorted the message. Dan 7:23-25
The devil uses the same devices he used from Eve (Gen 3:1-10). He changes the Scripture to change our reality, observances, and behaviour. With guile, he turns the truth into a law. The old nation of Israel experienced this same problem if you read the entire First Covenant. The Israelites would put the law down and do what was right in their own eyes. Paganism would fuse into their religion. Eventually, they would stop observing the Festivals and start practicing pagan/heathen holidays. The changes lead to a change of culture, behaviour, and state of sin. Read the book of Chronicles and Kings. They are replete with this pattern of the people did not follow God, and then a king or priest would find the law and reinstitute the law and the Festivals as led by the Spirit. Eventually God would judge them through afflictions after things just got too far and they got far from the law.

There is nothing wrong with the law. There should be no hostility towards the law from believers. Christians should wonder why there is such much hostility, when we have so much lawlessness in the Body of Christ. The law speaks of the same principles of doing good and loving others. It goes so much farther as to be a force of unity and power. Yes, we could never be justified by the law. Yeshua has served that purpose. However, we miss out on so much in completely abandoning it without investigation because of the traditions of man. The traditions of man have led to a hundred of denominations, cults, and the state of confusion all because everyone is doing right in their own eyes. The Body of Christ is not in the image of Christ because he is divided all behind the dogmas we created. Each church following their own doctrine of rules/law but rejecting the law of God is nothing new I repeat. We are being carnal, simply put, but believe we are being so spiritual. The truth is in the pudding. We as believers have no power. No power of unity and one accord.

The message of Christ is suppose to be about an invitation into a relationship with Yeshua accompanied with power. We are supposed to Power over the devil, world, and carnality. The heathen would have no comparative religion if the Body of Christ had the power of the 1st century saints. They would debate with us over our message, but not be able to produce the same good works of healing the sick, raising the dead, or casting out demons. The worlds of Islam and others would have to respect the power as a witness regardless if they rejected the message. Then their rejection of the message would be complete since they consciously chose to reject something they saw with their own eyes, not just heard with their ears.

This to is nothing new, just look at how the Pharisees responded to Yeshua. He was spreading the Good News which contradicted their man made traditions in the Mishnah. The hate him and his message, but had to respect the power behind it. They could exhibit the same power. Hence several honest Pharisees got saved because they were intimidated by the display of power. Read how they believe the movement would run out of power, since Yeshua was killed as said by Paul's mentor. The message has not died; just the power has not flowed. We need power as the Body of Christ. Which means we have to do something different or go back to doing what originally had power at first.

Maybe if sects had not broken away from the ancient Church then turned around and attacked it, carving the Body into denominations, and maybe if individual people werent so arrogant and prideful as to believe they are the ultimate interpretors of the Bible: If we were all of one faith as we were a millenium ago, then perhaps the Body would not be so feeble right now.

Thats my personal opinion
