Any recommendations? I was thinking of buying a bible of English version.

ESV, NASB, NIV, Holman (which is a literal interpretation done in informal modern English, complete with contractions) ... any of those are very readable and capture the word of God in the English language.
 
Just be sure they ship to your country.
