†. Ecc 7:2 . . It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of gaiety, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this seriously.

<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /><O:p< font O:p<>Gandolfini won three Emmys, three SAG Awards, and one Golden Globe for his performance as Tony Soprano on the acclaimed HBO drama "The Sopranos". It remains HBO's highest-rated series ever, with 13.4 million viewers tuning in for the Season 4 premiere in 2002. But none of that matters in the afterlife.

<O:p< font O:p<>†. Matt 16:26 . . And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process?

<O:p< font O:p<>†. Luke 12:16-21 . . He spoke a parable to them, saying: The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying: What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops? So he said: I will do this; I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him: Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

<O:p< font O:p<>Sudden deaths like Gandolfini's are the scourge of so-called death bed conversions. The Bible says to make peace with God now, while you have the opportunity, lest the hour should come when there's no time.

<O:p< font O:p<>Famed water-sports actress Esther Williams died this month on June 6, 2013. How many people under 30 even knew who she was? Yes; it will only be a matter of time before every one of us passes into obscurity; right along with Esther Williams.

<O:p< font O:p<>†. Jas 4:14 . .You know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.

ok, while i don't think gandolfini was saved but i don't relish where he will be at the judgement

According to one report I read; James Gandolfini is in a morgue in Rome, and soon to be in transit to New York.

Pop Quiz: Jesus was buried on the surface of the earth in a rock-hewn tomb; but according to Mtt 12:40 he was also in the heart of the earth. What's your guess as to how Christ could be in two places at once?

BTW: While Jonah was undergoing digestion in the fish's tummy, Jon 2:6 says he was situated at the roots of the mountains. What's your guess as to how Jonah could be in two places at once?

Question: Could it be possible that Gandolfini also, even right now, is in two places at once? If so; where might the second be?

the jews take that being buried. unless you really believe the bible contradicts itself since the jews also say the sheol is also in the center of the earth.

"thy shall not suffer thine holy one to suffer corruption in sheol" a perfect tzaddik will not go to sheol.

No need to speculate about the man's location, better to think about what your own will be.

High-profile celebrity deaths like Gandolfini's are handy for reminding people that sometimes the Grim Reaper shows up uninvited when we least expect him; for example Michael Jackson. No doubt the last thing on the king of pop's mind that day was the possibility of it being his last on earth. No; he was all geared up for a concert tour when poof! he was gone; and never knew what hit 'em. The gloved one was not yet 50.

All I'm saying is: young people shouldn't count on getting old. Sudden death via crime, health, freak accident, or an act of God, makes living to old age iffy at best.

On a different note: there's an actual case history of a man in hell depicted at Luke 16:19-31. He's miserable of course; and his tongue is parched. But those are minor concerns. What he was really worried about is the family he left behind. So he begged his paterfamilias to send a messenger to his kin to let them know where he is because he was very afraid they were all going to follow him right down to where he is. But Abraham pointed out that his request isn't possible.

Question: Depending upon Gandolfini's current afterlife location; what do you suppose he would tell his wife and 13 year-old son if it were possible to get a message to them?

To answer that question I would have to assume where he is,all I heard on the news was about what a nice guy and good actor he was...unfortunately that is not enough.

Good OP, blessings. Don't wait, give your life to Christ NOW!! :amen

People in various places are still referring to James Gandolfini as Mr. Gandolfini. But he's no longer a "Mr" anything: he's a corpse-- just another skull in the gene pool facing an uncertain future.

†. Dan 12:2 . . And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

†. John 5:28-29 . . A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out-- those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
