I wonder why most people make friends especially from the class of their type:( Too bad. Must a person who considers herself/himself inferior make friends with people of a simiar class?

This context: birds of a feather...flock together???

I don't believe in inferiority complex.

Christ being God made friends with both the poor and the rich, righteous and sinner etc.

Must a person who considers himself poor/of a lower class make friends with people of lower classes? NO. Must a rich man make friends with only rich people? NO.

It is a psychological problem tho. Be content with what you have? Nonsense!

Segregation is a sin...even to the envious who chose to make friends with 'people of their type'.

This is all about my comment to you the other day when you asked me who you are, right? :D

I like old and slightly eccentric people. Good people to joke around with. Then they say something wise for you to think about. Good stuff.

"Friends are those who know me very well, but love me anyway"~unknown

My friends include Christians, atheists, gays and a pagan or 2. None of that matters as they are my friends :)

I'll say this much about my Christian Friends. I have CoG type beliefs (but not officially affiliated with any church). I also have what many would consider conspiracy theory type beliefs and end times stuff. In this particular forum, I usually take that out in the health section and also like to bash Microsoft a lot in the tech forum as opposed to in the main religious threads. Nevertheless, in this township of 5000 or so people, I am amazed that I have 3 good friends that believe pretty much the way I do, and even when we don't agree, we are still in unity.

People like me are probably branded as unique, to say the least, like some odd-man-out. But a population of 5000 are not that many people, and the fact that without too much effort the Lord (Yahweh) allowed me to cross paths indicates to me that maybe I'm not as rare nor nuts as I thought I might have been. It's just that these same type people tend to be very humble, and don't want to make waves (or are too afraid to say anything) in mainline institutions but secretly believe the same.

One can get a little more vociferous on a forum due to the anonymity.

Somewhat the same with me. In RL the people I know are mostly Christian (just the way it happens to be), but on the internet it includes more of a mix.

I knew there was a book!

My friends are across a broad spectrum of socioeconomic, faith and political strata. I know athletes at the pro level, I know high-powered politicians, I know religious leaders of all stripes, and I also know addicts, homeless, prostitutes and criminals. All of them are friends. I wouldn't trade any of them for anything. I love them, and they love me.

There's this one lady at church who has got to be mid 80s or older. She's about 4' nothing and 75lbs soaking wet. She's funny as all get out. She'll see me standing next to the sound booth after service, talking with my gentleman, and she'll get my attention and tell me to go put the rag top down on my car and take my gentleman for a ride ...

I really don't have friends outside my Church. There are people I am friendly with outside my Church and would help if asked, but none that I would a friend like I would those of my Church.
