    Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Who is born again?

Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. To love is to love even those who have not loved us and to compensate for the offenses they have committed against us (1 John 4:7-10). Those who are born of God are in the light and follow His footsteps. They, therefore, love others and hate none (1 John 2:6-7).

Anyone can be a critic. Anyone can hate. That's the easy part. What's hard, is to look at a person, and see what God sees. It's hard to forgive those that trespass against us, it's hard to take the initiative to rise above our sinful nature. It's hard sometimes, to love sombody that may not love themselves.

7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

All Christians are born again even if they don't say so.

Apart from loving God more than man and more than anything.. a person has no ability to love with a Godly love. Unadulterated love can only flow from a relationship with God.

Emotional human love is not a sign of being born again and is corrupted with outward conditions.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new."
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

And this because of His grace.

I tend to think that since God is Love(1 John 4:16) That human Love is from God

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

1 John 12b If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

Yet, the true Christian endeavors to do just that, and we all sometimes, if not often, still fall short of active genuine love, grace and compassion.
Great post Stove. :fadein:
