Since it has become a popular discussion in the favorite kind of donut thread, I figured I'd take a poll about who makes the best donuts too.

Krispie Kremes, some could call them Manna from heaven :-D .

Did you HAVE to put Entenmann's on there? I LOOOOOOVE their chocolate fudge doughnuts. But I voted Dunkin since they actually make them in the store you buy them from. I don't know if Entenmann's does that.

I voted other... I like winchells doughnuts. All of there doughnuts are good, however I do like KK glaze doughnuts, thats the only doughnut that is good there.
And I think they put something in the glaze, if you get my drift  Its like coke cola did years ago...

The closest Krispy Kreme is 2 and 1/2 hours away in Ft. Worth. Our youth group does a fund raiser finding out how many boxes of doughnuts people want and then the youth minister goes to Ft Worth with a trailer and brings them back. I know that they've had over 200 dozen doughnuts in that trailer before! Even day old they're goooooooooooooooooooooood! :smt026

Yes I had to put Entenmanns. They are a family favorite, and they clearly make donuts. They aren't bakery style donuts, but they make donuts nonetheless.

Tim Horton's up in Canada beats Krsipy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts anyday. The first Krispy Kreme opened up in my city a year or so ago, but I really don't care for them; they have a lard after-taste, which is probably why they are so light and fluffy.

i'd say dukes of hazard, but someone might try this at home! (so don't)

I like Horton's and Dunkin' Donuts about the best, and both are better than Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme had not been available here in New England before a few years ago, and when the first one opened in Connecticut near Hartford, there where cars and people lined up for miles to try it. Within three months there where no lines, today Krispy Kreme is gone and the building is being used by a bank, and four more Dunkin' Donuts have opened up.

That is exactly what happened in my city several years ago, apart from the Dunkin' Donuts. Everyone wanted Krispy Kreme when it first showed up. It may have lasted a year but is no longer. Even the grocery stores have better donuts.
