Proverbs are hilarious!
Somebody really had a great sense of humor when they wrote these things. Proverbs just used to be a collection of wise saying before the world's greatest humorist got a-hold of them and wrote them the modern way we see proverbs now.
Here are three examples: "When a wicked man dies, his expectations will perish."
(11: 7a)
"It is better to dwell in the corner of a house top than in a house shared with a contentious woman."
(21: 9)
"He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears."
(26: 17)
