Why are you here?

I'm here because I believe God brought me here as it's the best Christian forum I have ever found and I'm a staying. I'm here to teach, to learn and to have fellowship with other believers in Christ as this place and you people are my Church as we are one body in Christ.

Well said. That's pretty much the same reasons I am here.

I came to learn, stayed because it's soo cool here. It took me a bit to learn how to talk diplomatically to not rile people so much but I'm getting better and so is this place and the people.

Little rough spots here and there but a lot of good people here and I love you all you Brothers and Sisters! No disagreements even matter really, because we're all human and have good days and bad, but we have a certain amount of unity in heart whether others realize it or not. I have grown in my walk here. Largely because of others.

I've been to quite a few other christian sites, and this site is head and shoulders above all the others I have been to. So I don't think you guys can get rid of me now, lol!

It's sometimes hard to relate to others. Especially when we completely disagree. And maybe even know that they are wrong an we are right on a subject.

Most don’t thing Job got an answer from God. Also, aside from the first few chapters and the last few chapters, most don’t understand that they are discussing the hot topics of the day on the nature of God. Hard to believe folk have been arguing theology before Christ huh lol

Oh and the Book of Job. Why good men suffer. One of the best books in the Bible.

You we're since I started in this forum the guy that stood out. And also had funny remarks.
Also sometimes seemed angry and sharp.
But I think that it shows that you are real and not fake.
Much better than some people who are always positive. Or some that have all the answers and loves to override others.
This is not a roast.
Just I simple appreciation.

I just thought about the time when Job first started to loose almost everything.
Satan said that he was a believer in God only because he was very blessed and had no trouble.
Said to God that without his wealth he would deny God.

So then many people say that God put sickness on Job and took everything away from him.

This is not true! God doesn't put sickness on anyone.
God permitted Satan to plage Job. He did that to test Job if he would
Stay faithful after having losed everything.
This I is a common misunderstanding that I have heard many times..

Yes. That might be so and a part of it. But the main reason for what happened to Job.
Is that Satan accused Job for only having good and therefore having it easy to believe in a good God.
Therefore God had to test Jobs faithfulness in God.
If Job perhaps would curse God after loosing absolutely everything that was good in his life. And even getting a whole lot of bad things happening for no apparent reason.
It was all a test of Jobs faithfulness in God. Even in a humans darkest hour..
But he managed to stay faithful through it all and in the end God rewarded him with twice as much as before.

The key word here is faithfulness.

God doesn't brag on himself. He doesn't need to. He don't need to prove anything to anyone.
But we absolutely should.
Satan accused Job. That is why God had to prove satan wrong by putting Job to the test.
God did not put any plage on Job. He allowed satan to do so..
That's the core. But off course there is more to it..

Do you have a Catholic Bible?
Is it so that it has books like. The book of Enoch and others.
They are not in the Christian Bible.
I find the book of Enoch to be very interesting.

And also you said that you only find a few books in the Bible to be of interest to you.
Have you read the Psalms or Proverbs?
The Ecclesiastes..? Daniel...
The stories about Samson or Noah.. many interesting stories there.
But I also think many parts of the old testament is a little bit dry.
But I think every word is there for a purpose..

what youve listed is good. i need to read them again. dont like joshua or judges or leviticus. chronicles is a bit boring...we ll that probably means im boring.

I think some of the Bible is boring or not very interesting because of how we read it.
I have tried reading the old testament simply to understand the nature of God. And also we can read it in the light of Jesus.
And the we find hundreds if not thousands of things that is prophetic. And also ties in with other scripture.
That's actually interesting because. It's like everything is coming together like a big puzzle.
But I also think it's hard to get through some books.
I am not a fast reader. Doesn't help.

One of my personal favourites is the Proverbs.
So much to get from reading that.
Really helpful in everyday life.

I am a practical person.
I think what I read should help me in my everyday life.
Proverbs does that. And Psalms too

The most important books for every Christian too read is the gospels. Or the evangelical books: mat,mark,Luk and John. John beeing a little bit different from the others.
The other three are very similar to eachother..

The books that everything Christian should have most focus on is the letters by Paul.
They are life's guidelines for believers.
Read them over and over and over until they get rooted.
They are problem solving and get better and better words

Other times one may be drifting away and need some tribulation to get their mind and heart back on God. And Job is given to us as an example of how they have to ask. And they will accuse us to the Lord. The accuser. But Job shows us that even if we are righteous and close to God, that we still might see great affliction. It shows the Lord's pride in His servants and can be used as a test for us.

Ask me how I know. I wasn't listening so He had to chop me down to the ground. It worked too boy. Wow. Things sure can change fast Nothing on this earth that we can do or aquire will be of any use to any of us anywhere. It's all going to burn. So I figure, may as well help people more than before. Help the poor and needy. It's like money in the bank,

Yes. Just don't do good thinking about the reward. Do it Because you want to please God.

Testing helps build us to be steadfast and strong.
It serves a good purpose for us.
