Why be Christian over Jew?

I just keep hearing and seeing about how highly God sees Jews and how the old testament is targeting them so... why aren't we Jews? I get this question has been exhausted.

I haven't finished my bible yet. I'm hoping for scripture to back up why Christianity is the right way to go, most compelling would be something from the old testament, the bible is in part, known for it's foreshadowing language

I say this because in the new testament things like when Jesus said he is the only way are common talking points.. buuut.. there are messianic Jews.

Looking at it from the "inside" out, you are right.
But looking at it from the "outside" in, there are definitely both.

Christianity is the highest level of relationship with the Godhead.

Then the gentiles were included.

In Christ the labels fall away as we all become one new man.

In Christ there is no:
Male, female, bond man, freeman, Jew, Greek. All are one in Christ.

I believe this is the OP I am replying to. If it's not, my apologies.

I believe Isaiah 53 is what you are looking for. That foretells of Jesus' coming and death (750 years before it happened). In fact, if you look at Isaiah 53:9, it even foretells accurately some of the finer details of Jesus' death: Jesus was buried with the rich, even though He was not.

Jesus is THEIR Messiah. King of the Jews. Since they rejected their Messiah, they are not being true to their own faith. And if you study modern Judaism more, frequently they opt to pursue instead things like astrology, numerology, New Age, even atheism. Even if Judaism was "the way," it has to be the Judaism of THE BIBLE. Not...whichever way the wind, the culture and the fads happen to toss them in the year 2023.
