Are there still Lamb Sacrifices’ done today by the Jewish faith?
What I find very interesting is that before and during the days of Jesus, we know that the Jews were very strong in their devotion about the Holy Sacrifices of the unblemished Lamb to God for forgiveness of Sins.
I've been wondering about that for years. and I was reading one of my responses in another thread and that question popped up in my head again.
Why did they stop the lamp sacrifices? It doesn't make since. We know that Jesus is the final sacrifice for our sins once and for all and there was no need to keep the lamb sacrifices going. Because Jesus became that lamb for all of us, in fact the Bible even calls Jesus "The Lamb of God"
But for the Jew, Jesus has no meaning for them. So does anyone out there know why they stopped the practice of the Lamp Sacrifice?
Maybe I'm just ignorant and the Jewish faith still does the Lamp sacrifices but I sure haven't heard of any lately and I have some family members that are Jewish.
If they did stop the Lamp sacrifices 1500 years ago or so then Why did they stop practicing it?
It certainly wasn't because of Jesus coming that was for sure.
If they did stop doing it Does anyone know about the time they stopped.
Because the Jew of today I find are still very strict about there original faith and still follow the Torah very closely. Of course I'm talking about the Orthodox Jew or the Strong believing practicing Jew who makes sure they follow the Sabbath and all the original O.T. teachings.
I sure would love to hear some of the comments on this question.
Thanks,
Zotah
