Why did you make that choice???

I'm a Giffen Goods kind of person (if you know what I mean).

I love luxury - not unnecessary extrvagance. I love high price....kind of gets me what I want.

Some like engine quality, speed etc

What features do you look for when shopping for a car?

Gas mileage is very important.
Wide enough to hold my guitar.
Air conditioner.
Affordable.
Brand-new so I don't have a car someone else has run into the ground.

I generally look for one that was designed to hold more than two people. While the smaller ones might be better on gas mileage, I like having the extra space around in order to run people places if need be. Now if only they made Stingrays that had four doors...

Comfortable.
Quiet.
Reliable.
Aura of quality.
Economical.
Ample power. In that order.

Any vehicle I drive has to be able to make it up about a 40% grade covered in anything from 6" to 20" of snow and ice.

Which is why I drive a Ford Expedition 4x4.

Economical, with all those? :lol I doubt....or maybe :dunno

Doubt if you wish Classik but my car comfortably goes over 140 mph and cruises at a very relaxed 125mph. I average 37 mpg but can easily get 45 mpg on a reasonable run at 80 mph. It is regarded as one of the world's premium brands and seats four in considerable comfort. The only obvious noise is tyre noise with no audible wind or mechanical noise. It is of course a diesel Mercedes E-Class. Mine is the 2007 model and the new ones are significantly more economical.

If you want more than 45 mpg, BMW diesels are significantly better than Mercedes but not as comfortable. My last car, an extremely comfortable Volvo S80 D5, could easily achieve 50 mpg but wasn't quite as fast. Take your pick.
