Why do people sing the blues when they are sad?

Why do people sing the blues when they are sad? Is it Biblical? Would God want us to do it?

Well the genre "the blues" was developed after the civil war and around the turn of the century was developed by the coloured people of America, obviously becasue they were sad - they had 'the blues'.

People sing sad songs when they're sad. I'm sure you do the same thing.

I don't think it's necessarily 'wrong' to feel sad and to be playing sand music, as long as you 'get up again and get happy'. God wants us to be happy.

Because your feelings and emotions are in a very sensitive deep mode.

I know to me (and probably many others) music is one of the best ways of expressing emotion, whether its to ourselves, society or God. Music really is a wonderful 'invention'.
