Why do you believe in God?

I'm just curious. :) Did you have a particular experience or revelation that convinced you that God is real? Did you find faith through reason? Or did the Bible convince you? Or is it something you just "know" deep inside? I would like to hear why you believe what you believe, if you can explain it. Thanks.

I didn't ask for salvation, wasn't looking for it either. And no there was no "tribulation" in my life or drug induced hallucination. I was quite alone on a back porch in Clinton, Utah one night and my life was changed. After that it wasn't so much believing in God as it was believing God. And that's when I could actually "read" the bible instead of just "seeing" the words. Devoured that book constantly for about 6 months. Got into a fair amount of "trouble" being that I worked in Salt Lake City at the time (commuted by Bus.. Bus #72 - the express) and finally moved the 40 miles to live there about a year later. But it was a daily journey I don't regret since I got to witness and debate with LDS temple workers, bishops, missionaries and general LDS church members with temple recommends.
(Went past the LDS temple twice a day. It's quite a piece of architecture.)

First experience: I was walking in my own little private darkness for
20 years and I didn't find a reason to call on His name, until a near
death experience. This happens sometimes to people like me that
are so busy with their own understanding that God cannot get any
attention from them. And I discovered the truth then, He is real and
saves lifes.

Did the Bible convince you?: Yes. After reading the "complete works"
I realized that all I ever tried to find in various places is all contained
in this book. It's the actual source of it all.

Healing is still one of easiest tasks Jesus does in my life, because he
has my full faith on that. He is my 'health insurance' that never let me
down, also other people get healed as a testimony to them. Just two
days ago our little daughther had severe stomache pains and fever.
After we prayed over her it took minutes for pain and fever to disappear.

"something you just "know" deep inside?" Yes, and it's growing.
It's faith and it's the Holy Spirit. It's Him.
