Hey, I have noticed this problem, too. First I thought it was local lag because I'm relatively distant from the server. But if someone else closer (?) to the server experiences similar things, it must be just net traffic that causes it.

The server indeed. Is it somewhere in the American west? The forum clock reads UTC minus 8 hours, which when corrected with 1 hour DST would mean Pacific Standard Time. Just curious because when I first registered, the language option said British English, not American English as you might expect if the site was in the US.

Questions like this one are probably allowed for newbies. ;)

Yay, it's not just me!

I'm guessing it's a problem with the server...maybe it's a bug, or the server can't cope with the databases or traffic. :shrug

Yep, I've had problems with it as well. And, I can never seem to be able to visit CF.net at midnight my time, which is Mountain Standard. I've found if I wait about 20 mins or so, I can get in.

For me it's 2:00am EST so that's the same time.
Maybe the server is doing a scheduled maintenance?
Bad time though. Would be better a couple hours later. :shrug

Sometimes it's slow loading. I found it loads slow if me or another mod is approving or disapproving a post.

Is there any correlation between your approving a post and the site speeding up again? :lol
