Schneider’s view, compromising the supposed millions of years of evolutionary history with God’s Word in Genesis, not only undermines the authority of the Word of God but is an attack on God’s character as it blames God for death and suffering instead of our sin.

Yes, and in this it ultimately plays into the hands of Gnostic thought, which has all along claimed that the God of Old Testament Israel was not a Good and Loving God but actually the Devil, and that "Christ" was therefore the son of a mythical "higher" god and hated the God of the Jews.

I personally believe Almighty God knew Adam would sin, but prepared a means from the very foundation of the world for him to be redeemed from it, and that Paradise would eventually be restored to humanity both on earth and in Heaven. Instead, however, the Devil creates a thousand different reasons to claim that He's an evil god, to continue turning more and more of His creation away from Him.

Satan was a liar from the beginning, and he is still a liar now, and it is a sign of the spiritual decline in our times that Christianity Today would now be speaking for the enemy instead of God.
