Why does it take so long to post a message on this site?

Is is just me, or does it take everyone quite a while to post a message on this site? No mater how long (or short) the post, it takes an extremely long time to post a message here versus what I'm use to on other boards.

I don't know what the problem is actually. It could be some code in the update, it could be a database indexing problem. :smt102

I have found that one click and the post goes through because I backtrack and it is in and if I don't see it right away I click the reload sign and it shows right up. If I stay and wait for it, it takes forever to move, but it is already in. Had this problem in another forum so I am familiar.

I have been testing and testing each time I post and have discovered that there is an extremely quick way to post.

Type your post, click submit, go back one page to the page you are posting in, and click the reload button(that is what it is called on Firefox), on Internet Explorer it is "Refresh" and the post shows immediately. Only takes seconds to submit. Love it.

I sometimes surf a little while waiting for my post to go through... ing:

Great idea eh, lovely.

Occasionally it doesn't go in for some reason but just go forward and your message is still there and click again. The up and down line, curser I guess, has to be fluttering.

That works too, but not all the time for me. If one way doesn't work, I use the other way. Life's choices are good sometimes :P

That doesn't always work for me. It will sometimes lock up, and sometimes post twice.

allofus's trick worked like a charm though! I've done it each time now and it's worked.

After about 20 seconds of waiting, I do the same thing and... it's there! LOL

Well, I would say that was uncalled for! :o Vic doesn't have access to the Administrator panel to fix it. This is Logan's site and he is the only one that can mess around with that. I know he has tried to fix it and so far can't.
If you can offer any help to Logan, then please by all means do so... But don't assume or accuse us of not caring.. :x Everyone finds it annoying.

Well, I don't know if this is the problem or not, Judy, but I know of another website where this same sort of anomaly has been a problem here of late....and I think they had mentioned something about the ads that Google serves being a potential culprit. I noticed that you run Google ads near the banner for the forums themselves....you may want to consider looking into it further....

Had A Long Wait With Posting Too..

My post took awhile to go through as well. At first I thought I came across a problem on my end, but guess I was wrong. Thank goodness. Anyway, "hi" everyone, I am Lovin and I am new here. This is my first time looking around and posting. Hope to see everyone around the boards.
