Why even bother?

I saw my advisor last week, chose my classes and she gave me my pin number and said I needed to call today to register my classes. She gave me the impression that the classes we wrote down on my card were a guarantee.

Today I discovered that every single class that I want is full. I don't even know why I'm bothering with this anymore. I've been working so hard to do well and follow my dream, but it just got crushed. There isn't another school around except Universities and I don't meet admission requirements. The school I'm going to is a very low ranked community college. They're SUPPOSIDLY going to make major changes next year to reduce the amount of students. There are so many that are just in school to stay on mommy and daddy's insurance, get their kids daycare paid for and those that NEVER show up for class. They need to get rid of these people so those of us that WANT to be at school CAN be.

I've gone from fighting back tears to screaming.

I'm sorry this happened to you Nikki. Just trust in the Father's guidence, He'll lead you through this trial. God's Blessings, Nikki 8-)

That sucks. I use to go and talk to the professors. At my school, they could go over the limit on their own discretion. If worst comes to worst, try to sign up as early as possible next time. Also talk to your advisor and tell her what happened. Maybe there is something she can do.

Good luck,

I was TOLD that yesterday was the first day of Early Registration.

My Psych instructor told me today that they "block" certain classes for certain students. I guess freshmen get the leftovers. I went to the counceling center today and the lady said it is my advisors fault. She COULD have entered my classes in the computer before registration. I called and left her a message, but she still hasn't called me.

When I went to clas today, it's what everyone was talking about. I know it's not just me now. MANY are looking into transferring to other schools. A lot of the people drive over an hour to get to this school because it offers more than some of the other community colleges, but now they're going to look into schools closer to them.

There's nothing I can do now except hope that I can get something during drop/add day.

Don't worry, God will work these things out. 8-) Don't worry about Quath's take this time because he's not giving Godly advice.

That is interesting that you believe you are speaking for God. How do you know that God is not speaking through me?

Thanks everyone. There is NOTHING I can do until Monday. That is open registration. Maybe I'll get something then. If not, then I can't do anything until right before school in January on drop/add day.

I'm putting all my anger and dissapointment into volunteering. I've been doing a LOT of volunteering at my kids school.

Well, Nikki, we'll continue to pray that the Lord's hand be evident in your situation. 8-)
