i listen to christian rock such as thousand foot krutch, red, and others. i really love rock and its legit music. i listen to rap too, lecrae and people like that. i dont have a problem with them but i mean.. they have some CRAZY rap songs sometimes, and theres sometimes some CRAZY rock songs but for example me (sing a alternative rock song in church) and my friend (sing a pretty crazy rap song by lecare) requested to sing our own choices in the church, most likely, my pastor would choose rap and deny my choice in rock regardless. whats wrong with rock? the lyrics are fine, just the same in rap songs, slow songs, they just added some cool stuff on the instrumentss.. rap has same lyrics as rock can just "rappish" type.. ???? i dont get it.

There are Christians that claim Christian rock is "unchristian" too. So Christian rap is in good company I guess. I'm not a fan of Christian rap, but it's just my personal taste and has nothing to do with whether or not I think it's "unchristian". I've heard Lecrae and even been to a Lecrae concert. It may not be my style, but he has a great testimony and a heart dedicated to God!

Its interesting to note that when many of the standard accepted old time hymns were new, there were people back then saying how "unchristian" those hymns were!
