Why Muslims Should Follow Jesus Over Muhammad

Sure it is possible.. Please dont confuse the political with the personal..... There is not a person on the boards that does not have a issue of some sort...

Yes you are right Reba.

I will tell you what happened.
I was looking for inspiration to encourage a Muslim work colleague and saw the thread.
I read Debras post and wanted to be friendly but because I'm new and not settled I didn't see Taylor s post. He thought I was referring to his post but what I said was not related to it but certain words may have looked like they correspondended. Of course he was correct in what he said but I was talking about something different. I do agree with what he said, promise you but I was saying something different to what he thought. He was correct but his tone seemed hostile to a newcomber, like pizza was correct but his tone was hostile. Well seemed it to me, sorry.

In forums both the poster and reader are at a disadvantage... we post and see cold words on a screen. it takes a while to find/know the nuances of each other... :)
The best thing you can do for you muslin coworker is pray and be as Christlike as we ol humans can be. We dont always know when the see we plant roots or if it will... We can ask those here for prayer in support of your relationship with your co-worker.

I wasn't even questioning you and my post was not even related to what you said. Only I think you are very unpleasant to me and especially as I'm a newcomer.
I also think there is an education that not all are extreme and that's what I was referring to. I didn't start this thread in this section. Everyone needs prayer and needs Jesus. It's biblical to pray for your enemies but obviously you cannot sow seeds to extremist but that's not what I was referring to and you have attacked me.
Not pleasant

So I'm leaving bye
I was not attacking anyone. You expressed the position that alludes to burying one's head in the sand and you did not qualify your allusion with any parameters to keep your words from being used to go there. In the position we are in, at war and not smart enough to know we are, sll comments published to the web, need to be carefully constructed.

Attack anything, not me. Try to insure less sanity, as impossible as it seem, yes mam, I did. I regret you are taking offense but it is essential we not mislead people ad that we, always express our thoughts honestly.

Hi Primrose,
I came to this forum a little over 2 yrs. ago. The first time in Aug, 2012, and then I jump ship because someone misunderstood what I was saying and I got offended. Over the next couple of months the Lord spoke to me about that getting offended. I rejoined in Nov. 2012 and I am very glad I did. There is one thing that you can be sure of with most people in this forum, they speak from their hearts.
Sometimes we make mistakes in the way we worded something, sometimes we make mistakes in how we understand what someone else wrote. Usually those mistakes can be corrected by a follow up post. But most of us make mistakes. Those of us who have bigger mouths like me and Bill Taylor tend to address things more directly so when we make a mistake it sticks out like a sore thumb.:oops2
Personally, I hope you will stay here. I already love your heart for the lost no matter who they are, that is what Christ taught us to be like, like Him.
Blessings to you dear sister.

Thank you Deborah and for your sweet encouragment. I was thinking sometimes when that happens at the beginning, it's a indication of something bad before its good. I've been very misunderstood.
I can be oversensitive though and apologise to Bill Taylor and Pizza for that.
I'm trying to see from their eyes and can see how it appeared now ,and think I know how why it was misunderstood . It was out of context maybe in relation to the posts I didn't see, but it actually agreed with post 6, but perhaps I didn't express it as well as Bill did.
Please can we end this issue now. Blessings to you all.

It is important to realise and recognise the enemy spirit of Christ ,because we can play into their hands and be prey. . So I do see the importance of addressing this in the thread. Hence regarding Islam.

Muslims don't believe in the Death of Yeshua They believe an imposter Took Jesus place on the cross which God superimposed the face of the Christ on the substitute.
other sects believe that Christ was Crucified but was not dead when they placed him in the tomb and recovered while he was in the tomb.
Muslims do not believe Yeshua is the "Messiah" they he came to liberate his people from opression but they do not believe that He is the Christ the one who takes away the sins of all mankind.
they do however believe he was a great profit sent to earth by God.
These are the major stumbling blocks that the muslim religion has concerning them to coming to Faith that Jesus is the Christ.

If the Muslims believe Jesus to be a prophet, then why don't they believe what he said? If we take away the debated topic of: Was it Ishmael or Isaac that was the son Abraham was asked to sacrifice? we are left with God said he would provide His own Lamb. If the scriptures are read correctly they will show that the wood was placed on the son's back(rather Ishmael or Isaac) and the knife and fire were the weapons of the sacrifice. These are all spiritual understandings that God was talking about Jesus, for he was the only one who fits this description of the son who God forsook on the cross for Abraham's faith. The wood on his back represents Jesus who carried the wooden cross on his back to Golgotha, the knife and the fire represent the cutting and burning away our fleshly lusts to take away our sins so that we no longer do them. They reached the place on the 3rd day just as Jesus arose from hell on the 3rd day after paying the Father the debt owed for us, so that mankind could be restored and reunited to God by the Spirit. God has a chosen people, yet He is God over all the earth and all of creation is His.
Ever realize what the star of David is? It is two triangles/pyramids, one upright and one coming down from above over top of it to make the star. We see pyramids all over the earth, but how did all these nations know to build the same shape of a building, and what are these stones that end with One at the top as in a pyramid shape. We are living stones right?
We should not be surprised that Pharaoh of Egypt was put in ruler ship by God even when he did not acknowledge or know God, for all government is ordained of God, even our own rulers today don't know or acknowledge God that is the reason the world is so far gone and night is almost here. Israel are the keepers of God's Word to keep it exalted in the earth. That is their position, but we all must be born again Jesus said, this means everyone, Muslim, Jew, Gentile alike for unless our thinking and doing returns to the commandments that God requires, we shall still be led of our sinful ways, held captive to sins and that corrupts the world. Broken homes, lawless children, perversions of homosexual marriages, broken justice system, diseases, haters, back biters, adulterers, fornicators, and next is bestiality. Until one can overcome their dog eat dog ways of our carnal nature, we are not ready to rule and reign over our own bodies, let alone others.
All other religions, just tell how to be a nice person all the while still using physical violence to force their way, but The One True God equips us with the tools to actually be able to walk away from violence and walk in truth. If we use force to fight against force, what does that say? If we do as they do, we are the same as they are!
That is why Jesus sticks closer than a brother for he is the Word that teaches us how to resist evil and cleanses us with the Word to have Righteous thinking and doing in our foreheads and hands.

Muslims accept Jesus(as) as a Prophet, but we do not accept the bible as his message for a few reasons:
1. Its not an account of Jesus' teachings directly, but rather the views and teachings of various apostles. we accept the apostles as having a high station, except for Paul because he never sat with Jesus(as) - Paul has a lot of NT books, so that makes those books incredible according to Muslims.
2. The Original texts are lost, the aramaic is lost, the translation are subject to corruption, mistakes and additions - there is enough real world evidence to support this. Since the texts can not be verified, all excerpts of the bible have to be taken with a grain of salt. In arabic they are called stories of Nasari or Nasarini and Israeliyyat - these stories are often cited by Muslims, but are never used as foundations of beleif or legal matters. In fact, in the past, famous scholars such as Imam Ghazali used Nasarani sources to develope a Young Earth ideaology within Islam

As Far as the interpretation of Abrahams (as) sacrafice, these seem weak in my oppinion.
