Why oh why?

I have asked this before and there are easy answers and then there are more difficult answers. What I mean is discord, fighting, and wars amongst and between people.

"Why oh why can't we all just get along?"

I mean for pity sakes, we bash, despise, reject, and loathe each other sometimes and in the process wrong one another for the what purpose? What is or could be a valid reason? Is there any real reason that we would find intolerance between each other as human beings?

Can anyone really find a reason say when to individuals that never met before, never heard about one another, didn't know anything about each other to find any reason to quarrel or hate each other?

I mean get real people, get serious!!

Couldn't it be construed as malevolent and darkened forces interfering with us to wet our appetite's in a manner less befitting and healthy loving manner? wouldn't it be logical to think that some kind of influence is affording us with these imposing thoughts that are undermining and manipulating us into these course of tidings and conducting ourselves in a erroneous manner.

We sabotage, we maim, we hurt, we dismay, we reject, we slander others for the sake of what?.....and where does it start and begin?

In our thoughts and in our hearts or desires.....but, where do these thoughts originate? Are they are own or are they implanted suggestions to illicit reactions?

The enemy is very crafty and I must admit that it sometimes is overwhelming to understand if that is even possible; however with GOD and his son JESUS nothings impossible.

To live in a world where all people love another genuinely would be awesome. Never having to be concerned whether someone liked you(actually without the equation I am implying they wouldn't)no matter what, friends to all and no one is left out, feels discarded, loving each other and then no one would be disheartened, illness if there was any; would be decimated, but probably not eradicated.

Never having to say your sorry, because if you love one another it is either implied and well known, or you wouldn't wrong one another to cause such adverse effects. Living in harmony and peace with each other.

What causes fights and quarrels<sup class="crossreference" value='(A)'></sup>

Sometimes these desires are solidified remnants of repetition that were elicited by what? built and schemed by what? the very word corruption could invariably define such absent altruisms in our behaviors.

Want frustration, poor attitudes and rude behaviour? Simple...get a bunch of Christians together in one room to converse about various issues, they will all think they know the answer to everone elses issues and won't listen to anyone else because "they know they are right"

I've encountered more rude behaviour from Christians here in America than with any other type of person.

Today on campus I met a young man who described himself as 1/2 Irish and 1/2 French. He said he was "cursed" toward alcoholism and also toward being a coward.

I disagreed with him and said that although there is some evidence of stereotypes within those words he chose, I thought better of him than that.

He just looked at me for a moment and did not reply. It wasn't too long before my eye picked up (or my ear, as the case may be) at his continued self description. He said he was a (quote), "Monotheistic, Deist, Catholic, DisBeliever."

I thought about that one and then replied, "That's interesting because what I hear you say is that you feel like you are in a period of conflict."

He paused. Then shrugged his shoulder (to say that my reply was considered to be 'fair enough') and that was all we said. Well, that was all that we said until later when I saw him over there, speaking to another Christian. So I walked over, greeted my brother, sat down and stayed silent. It's okay to pray quietly. Nothing obvious. They were having a good discussion and the Christian did a good job (in my sight) of representing the Love of God for the one with doubts.

Why oh why?

Because many times I do not take the time to listen. That's often the case for the 'why' that you ask and how it applies to me. Of course I chose an example that makes me look "good" but we also know what Jesus said, "Why call me good?" -notice Jesus did not deny what he said but instead continued, "There is none good save (except) The Father." We would come to understand this better when we heard Jesus say, "I and the Father are one."

I still think that the 1/2 of him that he called "Irish" and the 1/2 of him that he called "French" is better known as part of what God did when he was 'knit together' in the womb.

As a fairly new member here, I have seen two sides of the Christian personality represented on this forum. The love made me stay.

What brought me to this forum was a series of events. What made me sign up was two-fold. The love I saw here & the hatred from a secular (hobby) site which I help moderate. Hatred is very contagious & I caught it. I was one of the most vocal about my beliefs & I took quite a "beating" many times. Let's just say that I understand why homosexuality isn't allowed to be debated here. Eventually, I realized that I was in a back-slidden state, but I continued on nonetheless. I have plenty of friends there & I love my specific moderation duties, but the hate for me, my beliefs & my politics became so apparent & hurtful that I ended up lashing out like I've never even known the love of God.

Christians are not immune, and when we don't realize we have a way out & have the means to reject the adversary through Christ, we can be just as hateful as anyone. But we can also humble ourselves & apologize. I have seen apologies do more for our testimony than a moment of anger or hatred took away from it.

I believe being here will help me a great deal with staying there. I have wanted to walk away many times, but God just kept leading me back.
