Bible Study Why Such Disbelief?

Mark 8:4.

His disciples answered, "But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them"?

These same disciples had just seen Jesus feed 5 thousand but now were questioning how he could possibly feed 4 thousand.

Is this not the same as we go through during our lives?

We can testify to the miracles God has done in our lives and the lives of others but then we question if God will do it again when we need help.

As the Bible shows us in Mark 4:

First, it is a very pressing problem.

Second, it is one of tremendous difficulty.

Third, it is capable of a very glorious answer.

Today we have a pressing problem of how do we reach the multitudes for Jesus.

We can consider this tremendous difficulty by considering reaching one person at a time.

As on this day in the book of Mark, the disciples had the honor to pass out the food to a large, hungry group of people.

We too must not forget to feed the hungry, as this is a way to reach people for Christ.

And we should not forget to feed them the good news of the gospel for many are starving for the truth of Gods' word.

We may think that it is too large a problem for us to do anything about it.

But it's not about us.

It's about what Jesus can do when we ask him and are willing to let him use us to get the job done.

It is an honor.
