A rare conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn almost appears to be a single bright “star” on December 21. Does this point to Christ’s birth?

You could get a hint. It should be possible to list the conjunctions and their approximate dates back 2000 years. The last one was about 800 years ago, but the next one will be in this century.
 
Apparently, this particular conjunction did not happen any time close to 1 AD. Here's some discussion as to what the Christmas star might have been:
 
Assuming of course, God didn't just put up a light there by miraculous means.
