Windows 10 Spying On Kids

It's like I've said a long time ago. Letting people have a powerful object such as a computer in their homes totally under their control is threatening, so from the get-go Microsoft always had back doors to control and ways of spying on people. Of course this feature is the same reason the operating system is loaded with malware at the drop of a hat and why they don't "fix" their malware infested operating system. Virus writers just took advantage of this, plus I believe some are actually employed as such. In addition to this control, it's an inviting and entertaining piece of equipment that people invite into their homes for them to watch you. Everyone was afraid of 1984's cameras watching everyone, but who would be afraid of your "friend" the computer? Now there's smart TV's. As of this time, you don't have to get a smart TV. We'll see how long that goes.

Now this continues to go on with windows 10, for the benefit of the parents of course. But while you think you are the parents of your kids, by parents Microsoft has themselves and government in mind. They think they are the "parents".

Windows 10 is not spying on anyone. If that were the case, then you would be unable to shut down the 10 or so things that constantly send information back to Microsoft. These things are found in a couple places under the settings options. You can also shut down Cortena by renaming her folder and disabling her. This shuts down the search function also, but there are ways around it.

If kids have a tablet, a phone, then you have several apps keeping track of everything you do there unless you root the device and shut them down.

It takes a few minutes of searching on how to lock everything out, the other option would be to stop using electronics and other devices.

Google Analytics runs on this forum, so use Ghostery to shut that down if you wish.

My suggestion though is get use to the times we live in. Your on camera when you go out to the stores, tracked by your phone's GPS and Microsoft knows everything your doing on your computer. There is just to much to keep track of, and I don't suspect it will get better.

Mike.
