Windows 8 Tablet OS and Antitrust Issues

If I were the others, I'd let Microsoft go on this one. You heard me before, I don't think Microsoft will make it big in the phone and tablet market anyway, and malware only to their devices is up-and-coming just down the road. But if they want to be standoffish and affected, like their stuff is one cut above the rest, then let them (or are they running scared and just acting that way?). Ultimately it will be another nail in their coffin.

There is malware and viruses on the Android platform. Android is a Linux derivative. It doesn't matter the platform, what does matter is how many people use it determines how much malware and viruses etc... are released for it.

I do not believe that Microsoft will go down the road of having only IE available in Windows 8. I have used Windows 8 with both Chrome and Firefox successfully. I think Microsoft went in the right direction with Windows 8 design wise.

I'm talking "drive by" malware, the type that installs stealthily, not Android and Linux malware where one is socially engineered to install it deliberately which technically speaking is more of a Trojan. Microsoft's architecture is so designed to get such unintended and unknown malware that Android, Mac or Linux can't. Regardless of how many people use all those OS's would still be less.

I been on known viral sites with my Android nook and was as safe as a baby in a cuddly, warm blanket. The Microsoft, with or without virus protection and with or without updates would have been toast and I did not feel like reformatting for the umpteenth time for hours and hours. Likewise, I guess I would not make a good nurse or doctor, either, as I do not like constantly nursing sick people back to health. Rather be with the healthy ones. :lol
