Do you enjoy your Oreo's with or without milk?

Remember the good old days when gasoline was as cheap as milk?
Around here it still is...well...sort of.
1 gallon 87 octane = $3.549 USD
1 gallon 2% = $3.79 USD

Who is Roger Mason and cancer of what type does he suggest is caused by milk?

I thought the idea that milk caused cancer in adults was so absurd I never asked my wife any specifics about it. Imagine, the very symbol of the abundance of the Promised Land (an over abundance of milk turning to curds) is actually hazardous to adult human health.

I just found this very unprofessional, almost juvenile article about it here:

This wouldn't get a C- as a seventh grade science paper.

Okay, okay...so maybe the 'good old days' haven't gotten here yet, lol.

Actually, gas is about that much here, too. And I think I remember correctly that I saw a gallon of milk was still $3.29 or so a gallon a couple of months ago, which is what it was where we used to live a few years ago when we stopped (...sniff...sniff...) using it.

I don't think he is trying to write a science paper, but an advertisement against milk using emotion stricken language. I am curious as to why there are some many random hyphens. At first I thought it was meant to be sarcastic. Dis-ease. One who is not at ease. But after a while the humor eluded me. I don't know... But I also don't trust the FDA worth a flip.

Wow 47 ! i just got back from the store i saw berry cream double stuff oreo's!

A battle of the MODERATORS!

By the way cow's milk is made for baby cows!

I agree with WIP that Hydrox are not sufficient replacements for originals. However, what truly shocked me is that you did not submit to ........

Simple Poll for old times sake:

When delighting your soul with the pleasure that we call an Oreo, do you partke with our without milk?

I would disagree with the premise. I don't eat Oreos. In the old days I enjoyed cold milk with Hostess apple pies. Nowadays, when I keep an eye on my waistline, I skip the milk.

;) I thought that that might have been a mis/spelled word? I do not even know what an Oreo is.

Around 1999 or so, I wrote an article about Hydrox cookies and how, even though they tasted better than Oreos, everyone thought they were cheap knockoffs. I was happy to get e-mails from other concerned cookie-eaters who agreed with me and wanted to share experiences with other Hydrox "people", and I learned more.
The whole story was an upsetting one: a little bakery called Sunshine created the original sandwich cookie in 1908 and called it Hydrox. Four years later, baking giant Nabisco started making a similar sandwich cookie that they called Oreo, and they used their marketing power to convince everyone that it was the original.
By the time my generation came around, America had bought into the fact that Oreo was the original sandwich cookie and Hydrox was a knock-off and wasn't worth trying.
A lot of us still stood by our Hydrox because they were so much better tasting, but we weren't convincing enough. Sometime around 2002 or 2003 our cookies were reformulated and then just vanished completely.

For approving the anti-hydrox you now get the :chair reserved for the most outrageous grievances !

Reba

Geez Reba. Most women are content to just use a rolling pin. LOL

Oh, and by the way. I've tasted Hydrox. And they seemed at least as good as Oreo's to me. Please don't hit me with the chair.
