Canids often eat vegetable matter when they don't have meat. I believe that cats are the only mammals that absolutely have to have a meat diet.

North American wolves often eat berries. Like my dog, they prefer meat, but berries are edible for them. The cool thing is the wolves seem to be functioning as pollinators for the plants, something AiG missed in their haste to make a false point.

Because the wolves pick up pollen on their noses as they go in for the nectar, they may even be pollinating the plants in the process.

It's just a modern addition to God's word, by YE creationists. The point is that AiG seems completely unaware that all canids eat substantial amounts of plant material in addition to meat. The only carnivores I know of that absolutely must eat meat, are cats. They will become ill and die because they need one amino acid that found only in flesh.

Of course other animals like sponges and spiders are (and always have been) obligate eaters of other animals.
