Workers of iniquity, The mystery of iniquity.

1. Is it mysterious that the workers of iniquity, do not warn against working iniquity, or agree with the warning of not working iniquity ?

Firstly as God shows, the workers of iniquity speak peace to their neighbour, but mischief is in their hearts.

The wicked have secret counsel, with insurrection ( waiting to destroy) speaking bitter words ( speaking peace but with mischief in their hearts) and shoot ( their words) at the perfect, as they fear not, encouraging themselves in an evil matter, they search out iniquities, accomplishing a diligent search, the inward thought and the heart of them is deep.

God continued the warning about them, in 2 Peter 2. They walk after the flesh, they despise government, are presumptuous, self willed, and are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Psalm 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

Psalm 64:2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Knowing the workers of iniquity are presumptuous, they are the proud, who utter and speak hard things, all the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

The prayer in Psalms 141:3, is for the Lord to set a watch before our lips, for our heart to not be inclined to any evil thing, practising wicked works with men that work iniquity.

God continued this warning to us in Jude. God comes to convince all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds, which they ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

Psalms 94:2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Psalm 141:3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Isaiah 32, the vile person ( had freedom) and was bountiful.

In Isaiah 32, it was foretold how the vile person will speak villany, his heart working iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, to utter error against the Lord. They ( workers of iniquity) make empty the soul of the hungry, causing the drink of the thirsty to fail. ( they speak error against the Lord Jesus Christ, who came preaching for us to now hunger and thirst after righteousness.)

The churl ( workers of iniquity.) devise wicked devises to destroy the poor ( blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.) with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

But against the deceivers, God tells us, how the liberal devises liberal things, and by liberal things he shall stand.

Proverbs 11:25, speaks how that liberal soul shall be made fat ( thirsting after righteousness/godliness, not unrighteousness/iniquity, blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.)

Isaiah 32:5, foretells the end of the vile person being called liberal, and the churl said to be bountiful.

2 Corinthians 9, reveals the enrichment to all bountifulness, causing thanksgiving to God, the administration of the service supplying the wants of the saints, giving many thanksgivings to God. God glorified for the professed subjection to the Gospel of Christ, their liberal ( freedom, and kindness) distribution to the saints, and unto all men.

Isaiah 32:5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

Isaiah 32:6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

Proverbs 11:25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

2 Corinthians 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

2.

Woe then is to them who devise iniquity ( they devise wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words.) who work evil upon their beds, practising iniquity, as it is in the power of their hand. They covet fields, and houses, oppressing a man and his house.

Romans 1, continues all that is foretold about the workers of iniquity, God gave them over to a reprobate ( without morals) mind, to do what is not convenient, filled with all unrighteousness ( no righteousness in them) with wickedness, covetousness, malicious, full of envy, murder, FULL OF DEBATE ( they are forum members for all these years, secret accounts too.) full of deceit ( lying words to destroy the poor) full of ill well, they are whisperers, back biters, they hate God ( speak peace to their neighbour, but mischief is in their hearts.) they are despiteful, are proud boasters, inventing ( on their beds devising in the morning) evil things, without obedience, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection ( no love, no Spirit) cannot be appeased ( unable to be corrected) and are without mercy. ( blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.)

These workers of iniquity know the judgement of God ( they say they are Christians.) knowing who commits those things are worthy of death, but they have pleasure in them who do them.

Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Why else do we think that Jesus has to warn us to strive to enter in at the straight gate, unless it is because the gate has been all this time, constantly and daily, made crooked by the serpents ?

Many seek to enter ( the straight gate) but are unable, because the way is for those who do the will of the Father which is in Heaven. ( blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven, blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy)

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The mystery of iniquity, is by letting ( the wicked one) be in the way.

Jesus Christ ( our Lord and Saviour) gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all iniquity ( the uncleanness of the devils lies.) to purify unto Himself a people, peculiar to the workers of iniquity, who are completely unlike their zeal ( to do wickedness) they have zeal of good works.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
