The common Greek word translated works in the new testament basically refers to
actions, i.e. activity of any amount, scope, or description-- from the grandiose to
the mundane. Even the activity going on in one's mind produces work.
● Heb 9:14 . . How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works
to serve the living God?
* The supreme being is an active deity.
● Gen 1:1 . . In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.
He's still finds work to do on one project or another.
● John 5:17 . . My Father is always at His work to this very day
