What is the Caregiver?

Caregivers love God by helping others, especially those who are hurting. They enjoy working in groups, and feel a sense of worship when they give their time to serve others. Jesus exhorted Peter to live out his faith in this way when He said, “Feed my sheep” (John 21:15-17).

Activities You May Enjoy

  • Invite lonely or hurting people to your home for dinner, preparing a meal to serve them.
  • Volunteer in the nursery or Sunday school during church.
  • Write encouraging notes to your family members or friends.

Grow Your Faith

Although it is helpful to discover the easiest way for you to connect with God, this knowledge shouldn’t stop you from growing your faith in other ways. As a Caregiver, you tend to worship God through serving others. However, if you are not rooted in truth, this worship style can turn into a desire to simply please others and not God. So, to encourage a solid foundation and motivation, spend time daily in God’s Word. Consider the Traditionalists and how they incorporate routine into their worship. This can be valuable in ensuring that you’re focus is on Christ and not the approval of others.

Here are some other worship style that you can incorporate into your time with God to expand your faith:

  • Enthusiasts love God in joy and celebration. Try listening to someone share their testimony and celebrate what God has done in their life.
  • Intellectuals connect with God by using their mind. Engage in this worship style by reading a book about theology or apologetics.
  • Naturalists worship God through His creation. Try reading your Bible outside as the sun rises or sets and appreciate what God has made.
