The Dawn arises from the distant horizon,
The Sun awakens from his slumber,
Shining upon a path, until now,
has remained unseen,
Yesterday is gone never to be relived,
Today I tread upon a new path that leads
to tomorrow.

Self doubts and insecurities litter the path,
As weeds in a field of grass,
Despite my caution I still stumble over the weeds,
Their thorns prick my skin and make me bleed,
Draining my will to continue.
As weeds in a field of grass,
Despite my caution I still stumble over the weeds,
Their thorns prick my skin and make me bleed,
Draining my will to continue.
They tempt me to quit my journey,
By showing me scenes of cruelty and despair,
I close my eyes and a heavy burden falls upon my heart,
I ask myself if this is all there is?
But no, there has to be more.

I close my eyes and a heavy burden falls upon my heart,
I ask myself if this is all there is?
But no, there has to be more.
I open my eyes to a scene so beautiful and wondrous,
Mountains reaching towards the heavens,
Challenging me to climb their highest peeks,
Valleys so green and fertile with flowers of joy,
I look down on the weeds beneath my feet,
And trample them into the dirt.

Upon this journey may pace is not in haste,
For the journey's end is not my goal,
My goal has already been achieved,
And I achieve it anew with every step I take.

My goal has already been achieved,
And I achieve it anew with every step I take.
