I think I will need to pray about preachers period. I am afraid of them lol and tend to keep it to praying with friends.

God did give some to be teachers and if He did this, then He has also brought up good teachers for us to listen to. I agree that there are some out there who are false teachers. God can give us discernment and through prayer he will lead us to the right one.

We need to remember that one preacher/teacher may not be my cup of tea but they may be just what someone else needs.
When I say this I speaking of their particular style of teaching or preaching.
None of them are going to be perfect but we do need to be aware of teachings that are totally disproved by scripture, not just our opinions or tastes. So if there is one who repeatedly makes false statements, acts contrary to what they teach, etc. then we should be leery and possibly not listen to them at all.
