You Who Choose Permanent Death. Why Do You Do That?

Death takes away all your enjoyments, for example eating
good tasting food.

You're now alive and you enjoy good tasting food. Why you
wanna give that up? You ever ate a meal and said, "Wow,
that was very good. I really enjoyed that. That was truly
good tasting food." You don't want to forever say goodbye
to that. You want to keep on saying that, after meals, forever
and ever.

But in order to forever keep on saying that after meals you
must have the gift of Eternal Life. The Lord Jesus made a
way for you to forever keep on enjoying eating good tasting
foods ~ John 3:16's "eternal life." (Yes we will eat foods in
Heaven ~ keep on reading.)

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only
Son that whoever believes in Him shall never cease eating
good tasting food but will continue to enjoy good tasting food
forever and ever. After your present physical body dies, you
can still live on and on, to enjoy your favorite foods galore.

Jesus ate food in His resurrection body and so can you.

"When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
And while they still did not believe it because of joy and
amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here
to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he
took it and ate it in their presence." Luke 24:4041

"He [Jesus] was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses
whom God had already chosen — by us who ate and drank
with him after he rose from the dead." Acts 10:40-41

"When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with
fish on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of
the fish you have just caught.” So Simon Peter climbed back
into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large
fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12Jesus
said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples
dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.
Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the
same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus
appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead."
John 21:9-15

You Can Enjoy Eating Good Tasting Foods Forever and
Ever. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” For God so loved the world that
he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world
through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands
condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."
John 3:14-18

I can't tell if you are luring the unrighteous from their sin with grace or breakfast?
Perhaps both...
I hope you are successful, either way.

Here are some interesting verses regarding food in the next life:

I think we will eat and drink in the New Earth and in Heaven. See
what you think about Luke 22:29-30 and Matthew 8:11 , , ,

And then holding in mind the fact that Jesus did eat in His
resurrection body, read Philippians 3:21

_____

Just to be chatty, I don't think we will kill and eat animals or other
living creatures in the New Earth or in Heaven. What do you think
about that?

Best Regards.

Questions:
Is the marriage supper of the Lamb a metaphor?
Or is it a real supper and will we eat real food at that time?
I don’t know for certain.
What do you think?

Does everybody agree there will be no killing and eating of
animals in the New Earth or in Heaven?

Maybe eating is optional in the New Earth and in Heaven?

Maybe we can eat food and our bodies not go through the digestion
process and the elimination process?

The Bible has some significant imagery about eating food in the New Earth
and in Heaven. I could go and dig it up. I remember reading it, but I don’t
know where its located right at the moment.

Say, has anybody ever read Randy Alcorn’s book on Heaven?
He has a section in it on Eating Food In Heaven.
Its a fascinating read.
I have it on my Kindle.
But I wanted a hard copy, so I ordered one from amazon just a few days ago.

JAG ..

Of course we will eat real food. Do you think we will just 'pretend' to eat at the marriage supper of the Lamb? What a disappointment that would be. Will it be animals? Why not? We eat them now down here and are right with God.

Thank you for your comment.
I am with you on the idea that we will eat real food in
the New Earth and in the New Heaven.

However the idea of eating meat in the New Earth and in the New Heaven
is a direct contradiction of a clearly stated Biblical truth (see the bolded red below)

A New Heaven and a New Earth
1Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!"
Revelation 21:1-4

Best Regards.

Will it be animals? Why not?
Not that it is of much importance ... Christ conquered death so on the New Earth there may not be dying and thus no eating animals. Death being part of curse due to Adam which is remedied.
Aside: Maybe the term 'death' only applies to men on 'new earth' :shrug
Aside: Maybe 'new earth' for Israelite's only and gentile spend time in 3rd heaven (dispensational idea) :shrug
Aside: Would suck to have your pet dog die on the new earth ... :shrug
Aside: Maybe the Koreans in the new earth will still eat their dogs ...:shrug
Aside: Maybe I have too much time on my hands :dancing

I am certain that the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is no metaphor. That wouldn't make sense. But you know what does make sense? That nobody throws a better BBQ than our Almighty God!! So I don't want to miss that. It will be real food and the best you've ever had in your lifetime to date.

I *get the feeling* that we will be able to eat steak in Heaven. So I disagree there. I have heard at least one testimony where the person said the were given a steak dinner to eat while in Heaven for their encounter. Now, all you Brothers and Sisters don't have to agree with me so take that as you will, but somehow...in some way that we don't understand, I think it might not be the same as on earth but so much deeper than that that we don't get yet. but the man sounded very credible to me.
It could be that animals have a destiny to become food and are happy to fulfill their destiny as food. And we know that when we (as people) obey, then get redeemed and upgraded...so why not for animals too? Why would the animal have to die? We know there is no death, to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord so who cares if someone eats me if I will live anyway?! Goody for them, they ate well.
They have a saying...When a man is eaten by a tiger, he becomes the tiger. When a tiger is eaten by a man, he becomes the man.
Maybe there's something to that or even much more, lol.

I bet we will eat when we want to in heaven. Prolly mostly at social occasions. I *suspect* that our body's will be 100% efficient so there will be no need for elimination.

I smiled.

Just curious.
How do you get around this?
"There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”
Rev. 21:1-4
In order to eat steaks in the New Earth and New Heaven, you gotta have death.
But , , "There will be no more death"

PS
Meanwhile give this a try:
Fry a (2 inch thick) filet mig. in pure butter
using mid range heat on an electric stove
for 8 minutes each side. Add oven baked
Smithfield Hickory smoked bacon. Add a
fresh greens salad with Ranch.

Well, perhaps first thing to be cleared up is 'when is the marriage supper of the Lamb?' You speak now of the 'new heavens and earth'.

Concerning the Millennial Kingdom I see no reason for there to not be animals killed for food.

Concerning the New Heavens and Earth, who decides what mans diet is? Man or God? Whose side will one choose? There are plenty of people who think you shouldn't eat vegetables because they are 'living things'. Does God listen to them and take their advice?

Why doesn't God make it so we don't eat anything? That would solve all the problems. But He didn't. We have stomachs. Digestive systems. Taste buds...that crave good BarBQue. Will that be erased? How bland Heaven must be.

Quantrill

God determines all things IMO. He takes consul from none. What He decides in the future is speculation for the most part.

Why doesn't God make so we don't eat anything?
He could. You would have to ask him.
Aside: When you proceed further to ask why he so willed, you are seeking something greater and higher than God's will, which cannot be found. Vincent Cheung – Ultimate Questions
God is the ‘first cause’; He is not an effect so there is no WHY.

That would solve all the problems.
I don't see the eating of meat to be a problem ... or if so, of minimal significance.

We have stomachs. Digestive systems. Taste buds...that crave good BarBQue. Will that be erased? How bland Heave must be.
I have little to no idea what our new bodies will need. We are promised every good thing ... if that includes steak for supper every night, fine with me ...
hmmm, I suppose God could create a steak and not have to kill anything ... that way we get our steak and eat it too (we eat steak and yet no more death)

Aside: This is all guess work, hypotheticals. I don't even know what "We will see Him as He is" means. Super-duper eyeballs? *giggle*

This is all guess work?

Do you have hunger? Is your hunger the result of the fall? Did Christ in a glorified Body eat fish with the disciples?

If it is all guess work...why do you post anything?

Quantrill

This all guess work?

Do you have hunger?
Often, not always.

Is your hunger the result of the fall?
Ah, I assume that since Adam could eat of any tree (assuming that part of there story is not an analogy), that Adam was hungry before and after the fall. I have to extrapolate to come to that conclusion.
Since Adam could not die physically before his sin, I assume he didn't have to eat. (Aside: more interesting assumptions)

Did Christ in a glorified Body eat fish with the disciples?
Good point. Would make me guess that we eat when we have a new body.

If it is all guess work...why do you post anything?
One can communicate hypothesis to explore ... I find the discussion amusing.
... so my hypothesis (wild guess) is the we will not eat meat in our new bodies as there will be no more death .... but, God could supply barbequed steak without killing anything I suppose.

But, no problem. All is supposition with you. You don't know. And I agree, you don't.

Well, we both agree that I don't know.
We don't agree to the supposition that you do know.

Aside: Christian Gal down the street has lost 95% of her taste. Would be nice for her to get it back and have a juicy steak. Maybe the Lord will use the OUTBACK Steak House recipe ... again, I don't know, perhaps you do.
