It's almost over...
Upper respiratory infection... major exhaustion. But not much left to celebrate.
I've had a lot of fun.
Christmas day is going to be great...a day of rest.
I'm looking forward to it.
I firmly believe that Christmas fun happens before that day in all the preparation for the season. Not Christmas day itself. That's just a big meal and pie. (I like pie)
The memories last a lifetime... much longer than the junk under the tree. My wife and I are exchanging gifts when we get home. Otherwise it's just stuff for others.

Ha! I'm nowhere near finished with all my Christmas stuff yet. The only thing I have finished is the presents are wrapped and the decorations are up. Except for the fact that I still need to decorate the Christmas tree, build my gingerbread house and bake until I drop!
Of course I'm actually really excited about Christmas Day itself and exchanging gifts and spending time with my family. I also heard that I got a few surprise presents that weren't on my Christmas list and the suspense is killing me! 
2Anyways, Christmas still hasn't been quite the same ever since my fiancée went to prison. 
So I dedicate this song to him. I miss you baby and please come home soon.

I'm peeved that they are all judgemental about the theme song in the movie ELF...
I love that movie...
Because it's not Christmas until Hans Greuber falls from Nakitomi towers and Buddy surprises her in the shower (singing) and talks about the four food groups...candy, candy cane, candy corn, and syrup.

Although I'm not really sure what that has to do with anything I said,... oh my lanta I love that movie too!! That's one of my favorites it's SO funny and I went to go see the musical a couple of years ago at Playhouse Square!

I like this scene...
I watch this movie often...at least once a year.
Currently I'm working on raspberry star bread.
Last night I made 2 batches of gingerbread dough so I could make the house tonight. I also made some coffee, kalua, mocha centers for some truffles...also to be covered in chocolate tonight. (I already have caramels, orange, mint, and grand Mariner centers)
All fun stuff to do with my Sister in law and nieces.

Christmas Chronicles on Netflix is a good one this year.
Goldie Hawn has a small part at the end...
For those of us who are over 50... she is beginning to look a little old. Kirk Douglas is Santa and really does the part justice.
PS: yesterday was gingerbread day...we assembled the house and made gingerbread men and unicorns. We'll decorate them later.
