I remember when I was young I said "I speak to everyone" and someone named Nick Valero smiled at me.

As for Walter Spinner - flee from him. Speak no words to him.

.
Hi Brother Daniel L Newhouse, I haven't seen replies, and am not quite sure what you're asking. Could you explain a little more as to what you're saying, and the reason? Thanks.

What I mean is that Nick is my friend, from preschool.

Walter is someone I should never have talked to. The sentiment comes from the Lord of the Rings where Gildor Inglorian talks to Frodo Baggins about the black riders.

.
Good morning Daniel. I have never seen the Lord of the Rings, and am at a loss to understand your thinking, but is Walter someone that has an influence in your life?

I hope not. The quote is from the trade paperback version of the Fellowship of the Ring. p.83
"'Flee them! Speak no words to them! They are deadly. Ask no more of me! But my heart forebodes that, ere all is ended, you, Frodo son of Drogo, will know more of these fell things than Gildor Inglorian.'"

Sorry, but you're losing me. I'll follow along reading other's replies that may have way more insight than I do in this. :wave2

The quote is referring to Gildor's description of the black riders - the ringwraiths. These are the evil beings that are pursuing Frodo to take the ring of power from him.

It has occurred to me that the book may not be interpreted the same way by everyone. Aragorn, the king, is a good guy, and the elves are too. They provide sanctuary during the quest. Aragorn leads the fellowship until it breaks up over a dispute over the ring.

You would need to read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien....a masterful work...........

How about: Tit 3:10 As for a man who is factious, after admonishing him once or twice, have nothing more to do with him,
2Th 3:14 If any one refuses to obey what we say in this letter, note that man, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed.
1Ti 4:7 Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness;
2Ti 2:23 Have nothing to do with stupid, senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.

What on Earth is Newhouse smoking?
