Hi Marrea,,,
Welcome to the forum.
I think you'll make some nice friends here.
We're a nice bunch and we try to get along evenù
though we may have differing ideas.

Could you please explain to me what MARREA means.
Here it has to do with the sea....things of the Sea.

Welcome!

Haha marrea is just a random name i use when it's available in online gaming, the animal Garganey is called "marreco" in portuguese, so ,that is where i got the idea for this nickname.
Marreco in Portugese means mallard in En glish.
a Mallard duck.

The mallard is a medium-sized waterfowl species that is often slightly heavier than most other dabbling ducks. ... The breeding male mallard is unmistakable, with a glossy bottle-green head and a white collar that demarcates the head from the purple-tinged brown breast, grey-brown wings, and a pale grey belly.

Someone who calls himself a mallard (Marreco) can be described this way in the urban dictionary:

A term given to gamers who die a lot in battle. Such as a mallard flying by just waiting to be shot. Someone who runs out in the open and is shot immediately.

"A term given to gamers who die a lot in battle. Such as a mallard flying by just waiting to be shot. Someone who runs out in the open and is shot immediately. "

I am laughing a lot at this, i didn't know that hahaha.

When i search for marreco here on Google i get this:

Garganey (Marreco)
Birds

On wikipedia, maybe it's because mine is located in portuguese.

Guess i'll have to pick a better nickname in my gaming hahahahaha.

Well, not unless you lose a lot!
Plus, you're from Brazil...you should know this!
See, you just got here and already you're finding out stuff you never knew!!!

My father was born in Sao Paolo.
I have relatives there.

I am from the northeast part of the country, but i do know lots of "paulistas", so you're half-brazilian! Do you know portuguese?

I'm not half Brazilian...my father had Italian parents.
I'm all Italian.
Speak some Spanish..forgot a lot.
Speak Italian fluently....
English is my mother tongue because I studied in the states and grew up there.

Languages interest me.
Portuguese is a strange language....
some Italian/Spanish/French
What a mix!

I've had major issues trying to learn Portuguese.

All the words have an ownership gender. Men say one thing women say another...it's confusing to me.

Well if you mix your spanish with italian you won't need to learn portuguese, pretty much the same thing.

It can be pretty confusing when your language doesn't have gender ownership, women for instance are supposed to say obrigadA, and men obrigadO, "O policial" the cop(man), "A policial"the cop(woman), but if you ever fill like studying portuguese again go on with it!

Why learn Portuguese?
Why not Spanish?
You must be going somewhere soon....
I couldn't learn Portuguese...it twists my brain.
I would have liked to learn French....but it's better to speak
English in France rather than NOT PERFECT French....
They're a fussy bunch aren't Paris....nicer down South.
