I couldn't find the original article, so I found this video instead. Anyway, what do you think about this theory. I personally believe that it is very possible since nobody knows for sure how God created the universe, as Christians we just know or rather believe that He did.

The first thought that popped into my head when exposed to this idea is Gen 1:1.

It's a very common occurrence for brilliant scientists to look over their life's work only to realize religion has been telling our species that same thing all along.

NOTHING about science contradicts God. They are two completely different realms. An easy way of thinking about it is science tells us detailed info restricted to WHAT, while God gives us a broad range of info including why, and where He's going with all this.

I find the 10 dimensional theory with super strings to be particularly compatible with everything we know from Scripture, but that doesn't mean anything about that theory is correct.

Very true, and I never said that anything about my theory was correct too, because in the end that's all that it is a theory.

Hmm so is gravity,electricity,magnetism,

No, they aren't theories. Science has shown that they actually exist. And science has proven that Jesus has existed too, the only thing that they can't prove is that He was the Son of God, but when you have faith in Him, then there really isn't any need for proof on that. Although I thought I remembered hearing somewhere that His resurrection did take place. I'm not a hundred percent sure on that one, but if Jesus wasn't who He said He was that would be awfully hard to pull off. Like I said, I live by faith alone. I don't need any proof because Jesus is as real to me as everybody else in the world. :cross

So we know how they work ?

The theory of gravity is an explanation of how things fall.not the action but the attempt to explain the cause of gravity.magnetism isn't connected to gravity.our moon has gravity but no poles of magnetic energy.

With electricity,we can use it but what moves isn't so simple.no there's is no such thing as a positive particle moving.only electron, quark will move .

There is a debate on how it moves called hole theory ,one electron moves in another moves out looking for that balence.

Theories which we use to make things work.

We knew about gravity ,newton theorized how gravity worked from his observation of the planets abd we have calculus, and orbital planes from his work.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton's_law_of_universal_gravitation

Supreceded by laws of relativity.

I'm a creationist but let's not assume that an observed phenomon of gravity is understood.it's not .in conclusion, these theories are explanations of natural phenomenon that can be tested.

Germ theory, atomic theory, the above named ones, all are things we see or can observe and try to explain how it works.
Gravity is observed but not fully explains yet,we can sling shot probes way out using known theories.

Jason's point is that you're misunderstanding what the word "theory" means in science. Did you know we still can't determine how gravity works? It's just a theory. A major discovery was made at CERN, involving the Higgs Boson. This helps to understand it, but I'm pretty sure it's all still theoretical.

We know gravity, electricity and magnetism all exist, but they're still "just theories."

Confusing, huh?

Hypothesis and theory both need to be understood before you can really know what "theory" even means, per science.

Fortunately for us, God is Love! And His tests aren't via paperwork.

The bbt, while not perfect nor do I believe it ,is a theory based on observation of stellar movement ,and also some say super nova, abd Nova as smaller stars are said to form in those

The only reason that I liked this comment is I sort of get what you're saying but I don't. In another words we know that gravity and electricity exists, because we're not floating around in the air and we're able to be on our electronic devices right now typing this but we don't exactly know how it works. Right? I think that's what I basically gathered together from your use of big scientific words.

Amen to that last statement. :thumbsup

Some very cool things about BBT. CMBR (cosmic microwave background radiation) was discovered and upholds the theory, but we don't know it's correct. It also predicts that stars have a life cycle that directly parallels the Gospel! Early stars had to "give their life" so that heavier elements such as what give us bones could exist.

It's just a theory that it should even work at all, based on a whole lot of other stuff we don't really even know. The closest we come to "knowing" any of it, is that these things work.

Kinda funny, when you think about it.

Which is exactly why this topic was created in the first place. We believe that God created the world, but how exactly did He do it is the real question. Did He literally speak the world into existence? Did He clap or snap His fingers? Or did He use a really big tub of modeling clay? Lol, it's like the question how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may never know :lol

Stellar nucleosynthesis hasn't been observed, never mind that venus, neptune in retrograde orbit.as is our moon

Oh, the world knows that:

Since when is science observational? Oh that's right, it's part of the definition. Pesky detail, that. Kinda hard to take too many lengthy measurements on the surface of the sun, everything keeps melting. And then retrieving the instruments is such a bother! Lol.

Retrograde motion kinda goes against BBT. An alternate explanation that fits what we find much better is the electric universe. Note that Tesla and Einstein were contemporaries. Quite possibly we paid attention to the wrong one ...

We can look at nova and super novas aND observe given what we have.

By the way, I forgot to mention before that we already know how the Lord created men and women though.

Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul"

Genesis 2:22 "Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib that He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man."

Genesis 2:23 "The man said this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man."
