Well we actually dodged the ball on this one...happened to get a pack just before all the panic buying. So we haven't run out. But we will run low soon with my wife working at home now.

I'm going to miss going to church tomorrow.

I've got friends doing an international adoption from Latvia...they should be home tonight...they said everyone rushed everything and got them outta there which was a miracle. The embassy staff was helpful and got their new son a special passport so he could come home with them. This trip has become very scary for them.

If only there was a way I could work from home...we'd have it made.

I am glad the adoption went through okay for those you know.

We managed to buy before the panic, too - thankfully! Hopefully it will get us past the shortages!

There have been people here trying to sell goods on street corners before getting told to move on by the police.

I am thankful we just got a big freezer so food won't be an immediate concern.

Hope everyone is doing all right. These shortages are nuts! I sure hope the craziness ends soon!

Not any closures here yet, but I am hoping it doesn't need to happen.

Well,.. I don't think that we'll be able to TP or egg any houses anytime soon,.. but I think we'll still manage. :) (Yes I'm kidding lol right now we have plenty of toilet paper and you can always use tissues, wash cloths, or rags if necessary.)

That's how much people rely on the system. If all shops shut down and there was no food I would catch fish and gather seafood, some have cattle on there property, and some have vegetable gardens. Combined we have lots of food.

Not sure what people in the city would do.
Need gas and wood etc or power to cook.and land if you have wood to burn with it.not all have backyards .even my area there are places that don't

The 24hr stores are closing at night to help assist in stopping panic buying and allowing cleaning and stocking of shelves.

The virus remains viable for days on most contact surfaces.

Speaking of cleaning...
They sold out of all kinds of hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol and peroxide...but they have full, untouched shelves of soap. Meaning there are some nasty people out there.

I don't know either since I live in the city and I'm not a very good fisherman,.. or fisherwoman as the case may be.

You're a sick man you know that? Somebody has been watching way too many cartoons. :rofl2
Dynamite (tnt) is unavailable to the average person...you need a permit/license to buy most formulations of it. Also the whole lighting the fuse of dynamite is Hollywood. They use wire connected to a detonator and caps to set it off. Otherwise it burns nicely.

All manufacturers of dynamite tag their batches and products to follow what happens to it if stolen and used illegally.
Unfortunately volatile chemistry isn't difficult to understand or manufacture for the average person. But many formulas are too volatile and blow up on the person making it. Stable explosives may seem like an oxymoron...but it's very desirable and tricky to make happen.

Those who do use explosives commercially are a close knit community...closed off to outsiders. They make a lot of money...but in many instances they become cheaper than other means of accomplishing a task.
