Yep, after you and all the other elves finish making the big delivery on Christmas Eve, you, Santa, and all of the reindeer need time to relax and drink hot coco. :lol
 
Oh I can't forget about the Christmas cookies for Mr. C and carrots for the reindeer. :wink Don't worry though, I'm sure that Santa will share his cookies with you though lol! :tongue
 
So...
200 pcs of candy given out today...it goes quick.
Candy gifts to my parents and brother and friend (and wife)from church who make pottery.

Then when I got home I made three batches of cookie dough that requires resting for at least a day before baking.

Much more to go...
Got Thanksgiving for the rest of next week...as well as my son's birthday. Lots and lots to do. Can't stop for anything. I'm exhausted already and haven't even gotten started good yet.

Cupcakes and pies and bread and ALL the trimmings to make...that I can before Thursday. Then making it all Thursday morning/afternoon...
Just so I can spend Friday and Saturday working on candy and cookies to get ready for the big doings the following weekend.
Then comes gingerbread houses... enough for a subdivision...and the special dinner for the evening.

Getting ready for the KING of Kings and LORD of Lord's...it's what makes this season my favorite.
 
It's the 24th...
Christmas is less than a month away.

I can't help that America screwed up the date for Thanksgiving.

Actually I don't think that Thanksgiving has an official "date." I do believe that it comes on the fourth Thursday of November if I remember correctly? :confusedAnyways, only one week from today is my second annual "It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year" Christmas celebration so I must admit, that is rather exciting!! :sohappy
 
Well although I still have leftovers and one more (homecooked) Thanksgiving meal,.. Christmas has officially begun for me now and I really can't believe it! :mouthdrop *Cues the music and dusts off the keyboard and sings and starts pounding on it and sliding leg in time with the music.* :cool2

Last night I made orange, cherry, mint, and almond Joy centers. (I know...I was exhausted from Thanksgiving)
Today I'm going to start dipping and tempering chocolate like there's no tomorrow... Right after I make the turtles.

I doubt I'll get it all done...but I live in hope.
Maybe tomorrow I can get it all done.
The candy needs to be done this weekend so I can bake cookies all week.

Just whistle while you work and it should move the jobs along. :biggrin2





 
Well so far today I got the turtles done...all the candied orange peels done.... chocolate covered home made Carmels done...Only a third of the almond joys though...and I'm already bushed. But I got another 8-9 hours before I go to bed.

Please stop talking about food lol! I have to get my Christmas countdown posted before I eat lunch. :thud
